I thought Dayquil was supposed to be a non-drowsy formula

But my wife has been crashed on the couch since 10 this morning and it's now 20:25.

She was sick so I gave her some and she's conked out and we were supposed to go to Cedar Point today. What a bummer. Fuck you and your daysleeper formula, Dayquil.

i dont even know what it is. when it was prescribed to me, i asked what it was, and the doc said 'morphine'. but ive done some research on the web and i dont think it is. i rang the chemist and even they couldnt tell me what it is. whatever it is, it aint doing a hell of a lot. the endone seems to work much better. and the panadeine forte. do u know what it is?

it just may be the fact that her body is possibly climatizing still? She was in Tibet recently but she's been back for a week now. It could be a mixture of readjusting to the lower altitude since over there she was at a very high altitude for 10 days and the difference in time as well. She's got a nasty cough and runny nose but I'm not sure if all those changes could be still be so tiresome on her.

After I gave her the Dayquil she then started feeling tired.

She got up 2 hours ago and we ate and took a great walk and now she's sleeping again.

We will go to Cedar Point tomorrow. She did say that her cold seems to be clearing away since she's taken the medicine.

yeah....the nyquil doesn't let me sleep. Dayquil makes me feel retarded. All of that shit is banned in my house.

in High School I unknowingly put myself into a self induced coma by taking dayquil / sudafed at the same time. Turns out I was allergic to something. You really have to pay attention to the hours on the back of the box on how long you are supposed to wait to take it again. I dont remember much but the dreams were really vivid.

I feel like such the tourist. Not just a domestic tourist but a full fledged foreign tourist.

So the Dayquil has cleared everything that ailed my wife and she was terrific today. We packed our stuff and drove off to Cedar Point only to find that they weren't open on the weekdays and only open on the weekends.

Oh well, we still made some good of our day and visited the lighthouse in Marblehead and walked in a little nature. I'm gonna post the pics in the daily journeys thread.

Dayquil has phenylephrine in it and that will definitely make you drowsy. It used to have pseudoephedrine (aka Sudafed) but with all the meth labs and junk that people were doing with over the counter Sudafed most drug companies are replacing pseudoephedrine with phenylephrine (that's what the PE in Sudafed PE stands for now).

ive always wanted to try nyquil. you cant get it in australia as far as i know. ive heard denis leary talk alot about it in his stand up routines. fucking hilarious. well after lots of doctor shopping today i now have 3 boxes of endone (morphine), cepacaine, 1 box of panadeine forte and 1 box of di-gesic. i dont even know what that is. i should be sorted for pain relief now.
