What I find most disturbing is that "Many of the faces in the video are pixelated to hide the men's identities." This hints to me that those dudes are in action somewhere and probably getting ready to strike.... (wow that was a little ~fox news of me.... sorry~ but still)

Well, they can't attack us because we're safer than ever now according to Bush. Thank god for that.

Those other fools meaning terrorists? Al Qaeda recruitments have been up since the war.

Fun facts!

Al-Qaeda has a base in Iraq where as recently as three years ago it had none.
Estimated number of al-Qaeda members worldwide in 2001: 20,000
Estimated number of al-Qaeda members worldwide in 2006: 50,000
Number of al-Qaeda terrorist attacks in the five years before 9-11: 3
Number of al-Qaeda attacks in the five years since 9-11: 30

Total number of worldwide global terrorist attacks reported by the US Government’s National Counterterrorism Center in 2004: 3,194

This video means nothing....it is after the fact of the events of 9/11

we already know that Osama was blamed for the attacks

but coincidentally, Osama news always pops up when the repubs need a boost (n)

And what a great boost it is for them!

Number of days Osama bin Laden has been at large since US military operations commenced in Afghanistan: 1,784

Like Sen. Kerry keeps saying, Bush took his eye off the ball. Osama bin Laden was the man to catch, and he's NOT DOING IT. Why? Why doesn't anyone put pressure on him, asking him why it's more important to be in Iraq than it is to catch the man responsible for the murder of 3,000 Americans?

"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."
- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01

"I want justice...There's an old poster out West, as I recall, that said, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive,'"
- G.W. Bush, 9/17/01, UPI

"...Secondly, he is not escaping us. This is a guy, who, three months ago, was in control of a county [sic]. Now he's maybe in control of a cave. He's on the run. Listen, a while ago I said to the American people, our objective is more than bin Laden. But one of the things for certain is we're going to get him running and keep him running, and bring him to justice. And that's what's happening. He's on the run, if he's running at all. So we don't know whether he's in cave with the door shut, or a cave with the door open -- we just don't know...."
- Bush, in remarks in a Press Availablity with the Press Travel Pool,
The Prairie Chapel Ranch, Crawford TX, 12/28/01, as reported on
official White House site

"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02

"I am truly not that concerned about him."- G.W. Bush, repsonding to a question about bin Laden's whereabouts,
3/13/02 (The New American, 4/8/02)

I wonder something else. Osama had those videos put out...
Republicans no doubt benefit from this...
Osama has to know that...
Does Osama WANT Republicans to control the US so that he has justification to continue his terror on the world? hmmmm....

Scary, huh.

Not really scary. They "came out of the closet" in 2001 and have upped their recruiting and missions since.

Heck, they have a base of 500,000,000 Muslims to draw from at least. A 1% recruitment rate for such a big, bad monstrosity is actullly quite pathetic, according to your data.

"Join us and die for us while we get rich and laugh at your futile efforts!" should be Al-Qaeda's recruitment slogan.

Heck, even the U.S. Army's "Army of one" campaign looks better by comparison

bin laden is a pawn, being used by the us to justify a war in the middle east.

of course there is more terrorism today. not because people hate americans, but because of american foreign policy aimed at demonizing muslims and destabilizing the entire region. we asked for it, we knew it was coming, and its only going to get worse so long as the war on terror is continued.

dont want more terrorism? leave arabs alone, stop demonizing their culture, quit exploiting their resources, and supporting western governments who seek to exploit the arab world and its resources.

They've been out of the closet, people were just too oblivious to pay any damn attention. No one gave a shit about Al Qaeda in 1993, because the WTC bombing wasn't as damaging as it could have been and people soon forgot about it, or put less emphasis on it in the scheme of things.

500,000,000 Muslims to recruit from? Where did you get this number? All are fundamentalist Muslims that have access to their propaganda? Because they're only going to be able to recruit those who are able to be brainwashed and/or those who are fundamentalists.

You may say that 30,000 recruits in 4 years may seem pathetic. However, I look at the data and see that the 60% of the recruits have been post-9/11. They have MORE than doubled their numbers in 5 years. And then you hear our government telling us that "we're winning the war on terrorism" and that they're "running scared." They keep reassuring us that by them being over in Iraq, we're quelling the terrorism. That, according to this data, is bullshit. 30,000 people is not something to belittle - it took less than 20 to pull off hijacking 4 planes, killing close to 3,000 people, destroying 2 buildings, and badly damaging a few others.

We need to be more concerned in stopping actual terrorist cells rather than being in Iraq and claiming there's terrorism there.
