or, i will at least tell you how far off you are from being a square number. either that or i'll tell you if your post count is a prime number or what factors your post count consists of. the post before this was 63 squared. now it's just 397 times 10. i'm sure most of you dont know this but my specialty is mathematics.

i know it's impossible to prove on a msg board but i'm faster at working stuff out in my head than anyone i've met in my life. no joke. give me any 2 by 2 digit sum and i'll give you the answer.

edit: ignore the other thread. i fucked up the title

your post count 1611 = 179 times 9. in 70 more post you'll be at 41 squared

hahaha, dude i've had a third of a bottle of johnnie walker red and god only knows how much vodka. anyway, 717 = 239 times 3. and you're 12 posts off 27 squared. if you want i'll give you my mobile number and you can ask me any 2 digit by 2 digit sum and i'll answer it very quickly. like i said, it's impossible to prove my skill on a msg board. i'm sure most ppl couldn't be fucked making international calls to prove a point

with PI i only know to 3.1415926345. it wasn't my fascination. i used to know the 500th fibonaci number, but i forgot. anyway. 1524 is 3 posts past 1521 which is 39 squared, so you've got 79 posts til you get to 40 squared. but, on the plus side, you are 12 posts short of 1536, which is 3 times 2 to the power of 9.

one big ass number i do remember is 2 to the power of 100. it's 1267650600228229401486703205376

that's 2 multiplied by itself 100 times.:o

that being said i am absolutely useless at art. i cant draw to save my life. ppl like skra75 have absolutely amazing skills that i wish i could have

wow, you're the highest in this thread so far. 78 posts past 82 squared (6724) and 87 til you reach 83 squared (6889) anyone notice that 78+87 is 165? the same as 82+83? oh yeah, i'm a mathematical genius, and an egotistical bastard:D

This thread is quite impressive, but riddle me this!

Linear interpolation of a variable x over the interval [-1<t<+1] is defined by the expression:

x = N(1)x(1) + N(2)x(2)

where N(1) = (1-t)/2, N(2)= (1+t)/2

Hence, determine a pair of parametric equations which are equivalent to: y = 2x+1 in the interval [6<x<10].

I <3 maths!

x=8+2t, y=17+4t

i think i have misread the way you've done your working because if t can only be between -1 and 1 then it is impossible for x to be equal to a figure greater than or equal to 6 less than or equal to 10. i just simply does not make sense from what i'm seeing

i can do all these in my head. like i said earlier i know it's impossible to prove on a msg board, but trust me, i'm doing it all in my head. it does help that i prolly know all the square numbers between 1 and 100 off the top of my head, just because i've been asked so many times

yeah exactly. maths b was bullshit. we weren't allowed to use the rules we learnt in maths c and physics in maths b tests which totally sucked. i always lost marks for just giving answers and not doing all the proper working. if i could've i would've done maths a just to get an easy A+ in it

here you get an Overall Percentage - OP they rank between 1 and 25, 1 being the best. all your marks throughout grade 11 and 12 go towards your OP. better than having one big test at the end of grade 12 i reckon

yeah i rekon its better too, i think your sacs throughout the year contribute to you final score but the majority is decided in that one test at the end.

i suck so hard at math that it's ridiculously shameful. about the only thing i can do is figure out gain time. :(

for the life of me, i cannot do the 24 hour clock off the top of my head. i have to look at the time and then add 12, and i'll still get it wrong. wtf?
