I PM'd LOL to say that I figured it was a joke but that if I heard anything about a hit and run of an old guy, I was turning him in to the cops. :p I checked the paper the next day just to be sure. :o
If it had been true, the worst part would have been that people I work with would find out that I read this message board.

Yeah, right.
It WAS funny. I recognized it as a parody of that movie (or a Simpsons episode). What got me was that people more your age, and who I assume knew you, were taken in by it. Or they were playing along. The internet often confuses me. So I was 95% sure you weren't dumb enough to come home and admit to a crime on the internet, but I wasn't 100% sure. Did Beth advise you to clam up, or did I imagine that? :p
