I started listing my favorite songs and realized I put all of Paranoid down. So I'd say all of Paranoid + Into the Void

Black Sabbath
Paranoid
Iron Man
War Pigs
Sweet Leaf
Changes
Am I Going Insane

All the tracks off "Paranoid" are gems, that goes without saying.

The only one that hasnt been said that I really like is probably Spiral Architect.

The rock part of Megalomania, and all of Paranoid.

War Pigs was done far better by Faith No More.

I wish that the drums on Sweet Leaf were mixed better. But yeah, that's probably the one. Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath is pretty awesome, as well.

I'm just trying not to pick songs from Paranoid here.

I like the album Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath more than Paranoid probably.

I think it's definitely underrated as hell, but I still like Paranoid better.

Paranoid, Iron Man, War Pigs, Into the void
OK, major fun:
Black Sabbath formed in Birmingham, England in 1968 under the name Polka Tulk Blues Band (soon shortened to "Polka Tulk"), and later "Earth", playing blues rock and hard rock.

Earth? Those freakin 60s man! And they changed their name again cause there already was a band called Earth. Haha, I'm laughin my ass off at those 60s dudes on a regular basis now, cause I'm just reading "Savage Season" by Lansdale...(y)

a lot of you guys are probably gonna laugh at me but i like a whole lot of songs off of never say die. it seems more... experimental?(i don't know if that's the right word) compared to the rest of the albums. anyways it's a lot different. hard road and swinging the chain are great songs.

I even like songs from Tyr so how's that?

TurdBerglar
09-15-2006, 05:52 AM
i don't know what the fuck Tyr is. i don't have any sabbath without ozzy. is any of it worth a listen to?

Otis Driftwood

Headless Cross was pretty nice, Tyr was kinda like Manowar with more NWOBHM. Whatever, it's M-E-T-A-L, dúde!

oh yeah...the wizard, sweet leaf, sabbath bloody sabbath. good shit right there. just yesterday someone (i can't remember who) was talking about walking in the city and some street performer (read as bum) was playing the wizard on his harmonica. that is bad ass.

Also Snowblind rocks the shit.

i probably should start a new thread for this but fuck it.
Just two nights ago me and the wife were trying to think of the best Sabbath covers and I could only come up with 3 that paid propa homage to Sabs.

Sabbath Bloody Sabbath - Anthrax
War Pigs - Faith No More
Planet Caravan - Pantera

any more?

I've been weary of the final two Ozzy-era Sabbath albums since they've pretty much been panned as embarrassments. But nevertheless, I'm curious to listen.

As far as post-Ozzy Sabbath albums, there's one or two Dio-fronted albums that are considered pretty good (Mob Rules and the name of the other one escapes me right now) and the rest just pretty much suck. Unless I'm wrong, here...

Heaven and Hell?

either way...Sabbath, to me, died an album or two before Dio was even in the picture.
