My local garden centre has become a huge, flashy grotto overnight.
Summer is barely over, let alone Autumn, and now this.

I'm thinking I would be justified in torching the place.

Update!

According to a friend, a pub in Aberdeen has their decorations up now. A shop, at least is selling something, but a pub, they're just celebrating.
So wrong!
There's nothing worse than halloween pumpkins and santas in the same room.

Every year for the past 4, they set everything up earlier and earlier. I'm guessing the first christmas song will be played on the radio in about 2 weeks at the rate that everything is going.

I've actually gotten sick of Christmas. It's the same crap every year. It's never different, really. Well, except I get to go down to NC for this one and I have a new boyfriend and new place to decorate...but still. Overall, same recycled crap.

ME TOO! Well, my OWN Christmas tree. There's no where in the apartment for one, really. Unless we move the TV closer to the fireplace or put it in people's walking way.

I think I'll just get a wee little potted one and call it a day.

We don't really celebrate Christmas anymore. This kinda thing is a big part of the reason why. I miss it a little. But it's a seriously ridiculous holiday. Think about it.

There is a rumble in the north. Armour clad boots can be heard marching forward to bring pitiless yuletide mirth on those foolish enough to remain in their homes.

We remember the carnage, and the destruction brought forth from santas lair. But most of all we remember the high cost of blood it took to repell him back the last time his red and white and also green army came crashing into our lives.

whispers float on the breeze.. christmas is coming.... christmas is coming

Some fools deny that it will be the same this year, but we must make our preperations earlier!

i know it's really uncool to like christmas, but i do. i like how my mum burns 'christmas' sort of spiced wine and apple candles, and how there's loads of novelty alcohol in the house, and stuff to make you fat.

it's not cool things starting so early and all this commercialisation crap, but i don't really care if it's a big capitalist monster and stuff. i care that i'm with my family and we're chilling and my mum makes a delicious christmas dinner and we get drunk for 5 blissful days in a row on gluhwein and shit. we also have really lovely german christmas tree decorations and it reminds me of my time there. and i will probably get a nintendo wii! ;)

pubs and restaurants near me have started advertising their christmas menus.. i guess because people at certain offices/workplaces have to start thinking about their work christmas cards/parties right now - at least they are at mine. budgets etc.

i only just saw hallowe'en sweeties and m&s t'other day and i was still shocked cos-a that!

I was in Kohl's yesterday and they'd emptied a lot of their shelves near the candles and photo frames section. They used to keep clearance items and back-to-school- dorm decor there, but I saw a big thing of bows and other red sparkly things sitting out. They were getting their holiday display ready.

Personally, I love the holidays. I got really giggly while walking around sniffing Halloween-themed scented candles. Mmmmm...spiced pumpkin. I'm ready to drape fake cobwebs on my porch, eat cranberry sauce and trim trees.

This will be my first holiday alone, as in no family to celebrate with except for Aiedyn and Chad (if Chad doesn't leave the state to see his family). I'm ready to tough it out...so they might as well bring it. ;)

the only thing I like about christmas now is the song 'Christmas In Smurfland' by Father Abraham and the Smurfs and the christmas single by Cassette Boy
