and people in here keep coming up to it, hovering over it for a moment, then pressing a button or two on the monitor, staring, typing a few keystrokes, waiting for a minutes, hitting a button on the monitor again, then giving up and walking away.

That's cool that you find it amuzing... I think that the constant stream of fools would drive me BONKERS though. I know myself, I would def put up a big sharpie penned sign saying "It's not working, assholes."
oh come on, there's no need to be rude. how are you supposed to know? it's like if there's two doors, and one's locked and one isn't, and you pick the locked one, are you an asshole for being unlucky? honestly now

Now now Bob... wouldn't it be "polite" to put up a sign?;) I'm just saying after a few people stopping by, breaking my train of thought (yeah, surfing the board, takes great amts of concentration) I may get a tad irrationally frustrated and make a sign to be polite... however, the word 'assholes' may end up on it due to my levels of annoyance. Additionally, keeping in mind this is all hypothetical what I'm saying. Many can attest to my "too nice" nature around here. I'd prolly never do it when actually pushed. Ok, proof positive, I need to babble on and on with this reply, justifying that I'm really not rude... hahah, man oh man. Ok, I'll just shut up now. :o
