So I was rockin out to the Spanish station on the way to work today and I started to wonder. Which culture do or music type has better utilized the accordion, the Mexicans or the Polish and other Polka loving societies? I vote for Mexicans just cus I enjoy that music more. Second, do you think accordion players in those countries get all the ladies like musicians here do?
I vote 'The Arcade Fire.' (http://www.ugo.com/channels/music/video/player.asp?articleID=16232)
So...polish?
i can play a mean polka song on those kiddie size accordians. and yes, i get all the ladies.

The French and Italians use it pretty well too. They usually hover around bistro tables, or back alleys where ladies and tramps share meatballs.

If it's anything like Captain Corelli's Mandolin, stay away from it.
