they look like every other uni halls of residence. did you know that most are based on swedish prisons or something crazy? it's true. i think they look cute, though. cosy. i'm glad you're having a good time! i think it's cute how all students have the same posters!

Nice room Danny - excellent poster choices :) Does it smell funny though? All halls i have visited (never lived in one myself - private digs all the way :cool: ) have this weird musty smell.

the freshmen dorms at my school were honestly about that size. not all freshmen lived in them (i didn't, thank god) but only freshmen could. it was the biggest con i've ever heard of. all the other students and all the faculty and all the pamphlets advertised those dorms as like, the pinnacle of dormitory technology, like they were the best dorms on campus and you'd better move quick because they go fast! but the truth is, it was probably about the shittiest place you could hope to live. it was honestly so small that you HAD to bunk the beds, there wasn't enough room to walk or put shit if you put them both on the ground.

the real salt in the wound was that in order to live there you had to do a few hours of community service! so not only did they trick you into living in the shittiest place on campus, but they made you work for it, too. stupid freshmen.

nobody ever spilled the beans about it to the incoming classes though. nobody likes freshmen. we just snickered behind their backs. me, i lived on a floor with mostly seniors, which ended up being actually kind of cool. i benefitted from their experience and they weren't really jerks or anything about us being freshmen. nice guys, nice guys. the building kinda sucked though, and it was a hike to and from campus, but still, better than those shitty freshmen dorms
