To see the Beastie Boys at the benefit show thing. I know they won't play long, bla bla, but it just sounds like fun. Omg it's crazy and I can just barely afford it. My parents might be a little freaked out. I want to go!

Cool shit. I was tempted to go. I got money in the bank, and could pass it off as a honeymoon.

Anyways, good to see some folks getting into this shit. I was stoked on Dandy and mir's roadtrip escapades, and how they showed the cooler side of fandom (is there such a thing?) to the rest of us.

Long story short; shit's cool.(y)

My work doesn't have the proper program to run that link. When is it? I'll be moving there Oct. 10th and would love to see it.

I was going to go to this, but between the ticket to the show and the train ride, I'm not spending $70 to see them play 5 songs.

I thought about it but I spent so much on my NYC Radiohead extravaganza in June. The hotel was so expensive. But everyone who is going to this should have a blast. That list of people at the benefit is kind of freaky. I can't imagine how that's going to play out.

Plus I'm going to be in trouble at work if I keep taking vacation.

Yeah there's no way I could go if i was staying in a hotel. Thank god for the BBMB ;)

There's going to be a lot of board people there. Crazy!

I am excited but I just suddenly started getting doubts like, fuck maybe I shouldn't go, I could spend the money on this-or-this. eeek.

Pfft all you rich middle class Americans spending more than $100 to go and see a show while there are people DYING of AIDS in Africa.

But of course there's no Starbucks or vegan food in Africa so who cares right?

I've done a lot of crazy things in the past few years. My tickets for the concerts in NYC are usually super expensive, but I've had some amazing experiences. I usually feel nervous about the money, but I don't regret any of it.

This benefit will be almost exactly two years after my friend and I went to NYC to see the Beasties at MSG with about as much notice as you folks have for this thing. It's probably a nice coincidence.

The Beastie show IS a benefit gig.

YEAH! So take that Padster.

Adding to the craziness is the fact that I've never been to NY before. I think I'm going to try for some standby tickets to the Daily Show when I'm there.
