god, i will be so sad if he doesn't pull through! :( i absolutely adore that man. i love top gear. he makes it so funny.

i bet if he does come out alright, at some point jeremy and james are just going to go "well, the short bloke broke the landspeed record but YOU'LL NEVER GUESS WHAT HE WENT AND DID NEXT - almost killed himself ho ho ho!" and have a good laugh about it. they always do. god, please!

I hope he makes it through ok. Topgear wouldn't be the same without the teeth whitening jokes

shit, hey :(

he'll be right. that looks like their test track too. as much as i love topgear and the boys, it was only a matter of time before anyone of them was hurt badly.

Freebasser

It's a TV show about cars and car related doo-dahs. They test drive new cars, race each other across countries and do mad stunts like driving off the end of aircraft carriers and turning old junk cars into amphibious vehicles.

clarkson > hammond.

clarkson is more to the point and does/asks/talks the shit we wanna see/hear.

na§tee
09-21-2006, 09:48 AM
james may is just a wannabe identikit clarkson. it's almost a parody.

hammond has skills and qualities which make him remarkably different from either of the clarkson(s).

turd, the british land speed record is 300.3 mph. but i think this person has broken it.. although they are now denying this on the bbc website.

TurdBerglar
09-21-2006, 10:10 AM
that's really low

top fuel dragsters and funny cars can reach 320+ in a quarter mile

unless you talking about kph

Tzar
09-21-2006, 10:12 AM
nah topgear always measures in miles
edit: sure you haven't got it the other way around, turd?

60 miles = 100 kilometres

what the fuck.. i meant the difference between kilometres and miles per hour... not dragsters and shit - i ain't that much of a noob. i know what a doorslammer is.

TurdBerglar
09-21-2006, 10:20 AM
doorslamers are the "stock" cars. they don't go as fast. like 100mph less

Tzar
09-21-2006, 10:21 AM

TurdBerglar

Haha ^

I think the British Land Speed Record is around half that of the World Land Speed Record, but then again, there aren't many flat desert spaces in the UK :/

Tzar
09-21-2006, 10:24 AM
excelleration. hahah i didn't notice that.

TurdBerglar
09-21-2006, 10:26 AM

held by the british but set in the US

Teh

Jeremy clarkson is a smarmy cunt. hammond does more for the show than clarkson who otherwise is just a waster. Ever read his newspaper columns? he's almost as bad as kilroy.

BBC News 24 just said he has a "serious brain injury".

Tzar
09-21-2006, 10:45 AM

na§tee
09-21-2006, 01:26 PM
saw that.. i was wondering what that means.. does that mean "congrats! he's going to live but he's going to be a vegetable" or does that mean "if he lives he'll be a bit queasy for a while and forget some things but in the end he'll have all of his cognitive functions"????!

Brain injuries are just so, so horrible.
He could have a totally different personality, like different foods, not know his family, anything.

I don't usually stir for celeb illness, death and the like, it's hard to when there's so much of it in front of your nose in real life, but brain injuries, urgh. Just urgh.

It has to be to early to tell the extent of it though, he might (hopefully) just have trouble sleeping, get some headaches, hate the colour yellow, etc..

Yeah, my dad has that. Well, two out of three anyway, he doesn't really know what food he does and doesn't like.

It sucks a lot.

Top Gear star 'making progress'

Top Gear's Richard Hammond is out of intensive care and is making "satisfactory progress", doctors say.

The 36-year-old presenter suffered a "significant brain injury" when he crashed a jet-powered car at a speed of up to 300mph during filming.

Doctors at Leeds General Infirmary, where he has been since Wednesday, said his condition was now "stable". - BBC

its looking good.
