I wasn't happy with the name initially...I thought it was some kind of sick joke. But it's grown on me, and I'm fine with it now. Besides, I don't judge a console on a name, or how it looks....games sell the system for me.

Because, according to Nintendo, the "ii" represent two wii-motes, hence it being pronounced as "we". The funny part is, the console only comes packaged with one wii-mote, and only about 2 games support 4 players. So much for their togetherness theme. Regardless, I'm still anxious to play the console. Especially Zelda, Mario Galaxy, Red Steel, Excite Truck, Dragon Quest, Heroes, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl. It's also great that Yasumi Matsuno (director of Final Fantasy 12) will be developing for Wii. However, I wonder which company he will align himself with, if not create his own, as that seems to be the trend today.

Edit: I changed Final Fantasy XII to Final Fantasy 12. Roman numerals are a habit I'm trying to stop using for certain titles. They get repetitive to type out.
