Best: Shout Out Out Out Out ("http://www.myspace.com/shoutoutoutoutout) They're fun!

Worst: Nickelback (well, they're not from Edmonton. They're a few hours away from Edmonton, but they try to elicit "Alberta Pride" and other associations with Edmonton to the point that it just makes me sick) (n)

Well, I can only think of two bands from Wigan, so that means that the best band is The Verve, and the worst is Starsailor.

k.d. lang is kinda/sorta from Edmonton (I think she lived in Edmonton for a bit... but she's rural Alberta-raised).

You're from Saskatchewan, I think your answer would be Wide Mouth Mason. ;)

Mission of Burma and Aerosmith are also from Boston. Oh yeah, I'm guessing Boston is from Boston too, right? ;)

But if you wanted to be true to yourself, you'd be listing your favorite Connecticut artists.

i can't think of any connecticut artists

did 50 cent start in CT? i know he lives in farmington now, but i don't know if he started here.

i'm trying to be more associated with boston now than connecticut. boston's interesting, connecticut isn't. hartford, CT is the insurance capital of the country (or world, i forget). that's about it. you say you're from connecticut and people go, "oh, do you work for an insurance company?" and i have to go "......yes..." because i did, actually. and my mom's an actuary. and 4 of my friends from college are going to be actuaries.

Bob, you're hilarious! :D

50 Cent started in Queens or The Bronx, or someplace. Some crack-infested ghetto neighborhood in one of those NYC boroughs.

Connecticut couldn't be more of a polar opposite. In fact, I'm highly uncertain if there would be poverty of any sort within the state of Connecticut. :p

There's quite a lot of good bands here, but an awful lot of them have roots up noooth.
But I'd guess the best is the Hellacopters, they're all grown up here as well. Then there's Tiger Lou, Weeping Willows and I'm from Barcelona.
Worst? Hmmm... I know a lot of awful bands from west coast, but from here?... I can't think of any right now.... I might have to get back on that when I can think of one.

yeah, ive heard a bit of their stuff, drank with them at blackwood parties etc. i dont know them that well at all. ive prob said hi to them a few times when ive been drunk. terra firma, cross bred mongrels (debris' project) and after hours are also with the hoods crew (certified wise) and they are pretty good. we all grew up in the same neighbourhood.

as far as hoods albums go, the calling sucked, the hard road was a little better, but my absolute favourite which i think kicks both their asses and its prob in my top 10 best hip hop albums is left foot right foot. if you havent heard that, then...... you should. its awesome. the hoods at their best.

nah man the calling is shit. i was really disappointed with it. i couldnt believe the J's hyped it up and said how good it was when their last album was leagues ahead of the calling. seeing as the original release is impossible to get, would u like me to burn u a copy?
