Lately I've been making roasts in a crock pot that my friend loaned me. it's awesome! I can't believe I've never used one before!!! I put everything I want in there and go about my night, then when I wake up the next day, i have awesome food!!! Today though I decided to bake these big ass turkey legs I bought. I through in some vegetables and my favorite spices (salt and pepper and this italian stuff) and baked them for about 2 hours at 300 degrees then I took all the meat off the bone and mixed it up with some fresh vegetables too. I'm eating it now and it's freakin AWESOME!!! Thought I'd share :)

Have you ever tried a bread machine? I'm the least domestic person in the world, but even I can throw in all the ingredients at bedtime and wake up to breakfast and the smell of baking. It's like magic!

I'm making meat loaf tonight. I seen this recipe where you put mozerella on the inside of it and that sounds AWESOME!!!!
That first post made me want to get a crock pot. I've never used one though so I wouldn't know where to begin on making stuffs.

It easy. Just put whatever you want to eat (tomorrow) in the crock pot before you go to bed with some water and then BAM!!! You wake up in the morning with AWESOMENESS!!!
Oh yeah, I made meatloaf lasts night and it tastes great but, I forgot to put the eggs in... now I have to make it again tonight:o

crock pots are the fuckin win.
beth has a great recipe for a rump roast, maybe she'd share it.
oh wait.
a decent cut of meat (make sure there's a fair amount of fat on thurr, that'll be your gravy source later. (drop into crock pot)
10 small red skinned potatoes (surround the beef)
a bag of mini carrots (2-3 handfuls of carrots)
a small can of mushrooms (drain and dump 'shrooms onto meat)
powered beefy onion soup mix (empty contents of soup mix onto meat and potatoes)
set on low for 6-8 hrs, eat and enjoy with some nice rolls or crusty bread.

Last night I marinated some pork ribs in beer, onions, garlic powder, salt, pepper, bay leaves and italian herbs for about 4 hours and then I grilled them on the bbq... freakin awesome!!! So last night before I went to bed I did the same thing with the marinade and tonight it's grill city again!!!! YES! :D

firstly i cooked some onion slices in a pan with some oil, then i added small pieces of fillet steak and browned them on both sides. added a crushed clove of garlic and then a cup of water and put the lid on and let it all simmer over a low heat.
meanwhile i made some mashed potato with garlic, and steamed sugar peas, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots.
after 10 minutes i added some cream to the steak and onion, then turned down the heat and let it reduce.
ate it all. i'm stuffed!

You guys:(
Those ribs turned out terrible! I couldn't even eat them. I can't figure out what I did so different other than marinate them 20 hours longer than the previous ones... do any of you have experience in marinating meat in beer?:(
