This is multiple intelligence gathering units from many different countries all coming to the same conclusion, not just media speculation. Somethings up and it sounds like Bin Laden is either dead or near death.
Or maybe it's just a slow news day.

Just like there were multiple intelligence gathering units from many different countries saying that Iraq had WMD. Now everyone is crying about it.
For the recors, I hope the bastard is dead at this moment but, I'm not getting my hopes up over rumors.

I don't get what you mean? Millions of people were bitching about the credibility of intelligence before we went into Iraq. I'm definately not crying about it, I'm pissed off at being lied to. Just like millions of other people. Crying? No. Pissed. Yes.

I've been hearing that Bin Laden is dead for years now, yet this latest go around is really gaining media attention. Which is a good thing for many reasons, it puts the spotlight on US policy in the middle east.
It also puts the spotlight on the middle east and their own policies. Which seem mysterious at best. Can anybody explain the policy of the middle east without using OPEC? Or getting the jews out of Israel?
Co-exsistance seems impossible with all of these countries. A re-examination of strategy is needed to put it mildly. Bin Laden has been part of the problem along with many other players, who and what countries have the brass balls to be part of the solution?

I don't know whats crazier, the reports of Bin Ladens death or the reports of his death being premature, checkout what Hamid Mir, Osama bin Laden's official biographer told the Canada Free Press (http://www.canadafreepress.com/2006/paul-williams092306.htm).

Clinton sharply criticizes the Bush administration's efforts to capture Bin Laden during a taped interview on "Fox News Sunday" set for viewing on 9/24.
In the interview for “Fox News Sunday,” Mr. Clinton defended the steps he took after the bombing of the destroyer Cole in 2000 and faulted “right-wingers” for their criticism of his efforts to capture Mr. bin Laden, the Qaeda leader.
“But at least I tried. That’s the difference in me and some, including all of the right-wingers who are attacking me now,” Mr. Clinton said when asked whether he had failed to anticipate the full threat from Mr. bin Laden. “They had eight months to try; they did not try. I tried. So I tried and failed.”
The Sept. 11 attacks occurred almost eight months after President Bush succeeded Mr. Clinton in January 2001.
“I authorized the C.I.A. to get groups together to try to kill him,” Mr. Clinton said.
“Now if you want to criticize me for one thing,” he continued, “you can criticize me for this: after the Cole, I had battle plans drawn to go into Afghanistan, overthrow the Taliban and launch a full-scale attack search for bin Laden.” But he said he was not able to follow through with his plans, adding, “We needed basing rights in Uzbekistan, which we got after 9/11.”
Mr. Clinton complained at the time that the C.I.A. and F.B.I. had refused to certify that Mr. bin Laden was responsible for the Cole attack.
Earlier this month, Mr. Clinton dismissed as “indisputably wrong” a television movie that suggested he was too distracted by the Monica Lewinsky scandal to confront the Islamic militant threat that culminated in the Sept. 11 attacks.
Shit...it's mid-term election time ain't it.

HAHAHAHA!!! That was actually funny (y)
Like I said, I want facts. I hope the fucker is dead but, right now it's just a bunch of rumors. And just because the media is talking about it, that don't mean shit.

Yeah it's a new day and everybody says it's just more speculation. Do you ever think this is just fucking rigged? The whole fucking lot of it, because getting your chain yanked by the corporate media is becoming all to familiar, even to guys like us.
I don't feel duped, just amazed at how much attention can be garnered on one man. What are the priorities of the media?

What are the priorities of the media?
To propagate their own agenda.
To sell more ad space.
To garner "attention" to subjects that no one wants to hear about.
To act as "fronts" for Big Oil, the military-industrial complex, Republicans, Democrats, Socialists, the Beastie Boys, and any other blogger out there with a gripe and the time to write out his/her idiotic fantastical delusional ravings.
To destroy humanity.
To save humanity.
To make the world "a better place."
To chase down and kill Princess Di, Bruce Lee, Jim Morrison, Elvis, and President Kennedy.
To expose the "truth."
To obfuscate and confuse the truth.
To lead the "sheeple" to water.
To kill traditional values.
To save traditional values.
