Apparently.

Six other people were about to post this, I'm sure, so they can post any ACTUAL info.

he fell off a long time ago.

also his wife is going through breast cancer and apparently hes spending a lot of time with her? maybe he'll be signed again when he's more available to work?

There will be plenty of promotion for the Jay-Z album. But that's just me being sour. Jay-Z does actual numbers.

Given the low promo on the new Method Man, it did pretty well as I understand. I can't see him even bothering to go indie. Maybe Redman will get dropped next?

edit: bionic, in my opinion the new album helped him fall back on.

As a rapper, overall, lyrically and in delivery, he's at his prime right now. I'm not talking about songs or hooks or his stage presence or whatever. But as an actual emcee, he's tight as hell. No way he's finished.

yeah he'll head to Koch. Ghost will probably flop too and head to Koch.

And Redman. Luda's contract is up after this next album, but he'll probably resign with a major.

they should all go to Koch and get more money per CD and have done with it.

Did No Said Date come out on Koch or Nature Sounds? I can't find the cover.

Nature sounds. Koch is basically the McDonalds of independent labels.

I heard a interview on XM the other day with Method and he was talking some smack about how Def Jam didn't promote the album but I had no idea he was dropped, when did they cut him off?

whoa! it seems like Def Jam has been dropping a lot of artists lately..

i agree that Def Jam didn't do much to promote his album...

i mean how can u expect to get Big numbers with Small promotion?

especially since not many people buy albums anymore & just download that stuff..

From a recent bulletin Raekwon's MySpace put out...

First off....as I stated the other night....despite what you read on the WEB, or may hear on a few misinfomed radio shows....Method Man is still signed to Def Jam, and "Let's Ride" will the first single from his album 4:21.
Mef, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, Street Life, and DJ Mathmatics are currently on the road on the 4:21 Tour. Dates are posted on Method Man's page, as well as on a blog on my page.

Seems like he's still on DJ...
