Hey everyone,
I am counting on the good people of the message board to take me seriously for one moment. I know that boomin' and cosmo had a great response to their Crohn's fundraiser, so I hope all of you take a moment to go to my fundraising page, and even if you don't contribute to the cause, it would be great if you passed along the info to anyone who might be interested...
Last Thanksgiving, my girlfriend's dad was diagnosed with Lymphoma, the same disease that took his older sister's life just a month later...
Needless to say, it has been a rough year for Stephanie's family, but we decided to do something positive about it. We have registered for Light The Night Walk, in which thousands of participants will cross the Brooklyn Bridge on Thursday Oct 5th, to raise funds and awareness for the battle against blood cancers of all types...
Stephanie and I will walk in honor of her father, and in memory of her Aunt Louise, along with a close friend and Leukemia survivor...

The Light The Night Walk is The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's nationwide walk to raise awareness and funds to cure leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
I'm participating in the walk in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancer. These people are the real heroes, and we need your support to help accelerate cures and give hope to patients and their families. Although research is responsible for increasing survival rates for these diseases, the battle is far from over. Did you know that:
Every five minutes, someone in this country is diagnosed with blood cancer: Every ten minutes, someone loses the fight.
Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children.
Lymphomas are the most common blood cancers.
The myeloma survival rate is only 32 percent.
Please make a donation to support my participation in the Light The Night Walk. By doing so, we’ll both be helping save lives. Be sure to check my Web site frequently to see my progress. Thanks for your support!
