I can't believe no one has made a thread about this movie yet.

Watched it last night for the first time and like Cache after 2 hours I was like what the hell just happened. There are many theories about this movie...which you can check out here http://www.mulholland-drive.net/home.htm but was curious to see what your thoughts were on this movie. Death dream? Dream? Camilla / Rita / Betty / Diane? Did it all happen?

I know David Lynch is known for this type of wtf style i.e. Blue Velvet & Twin Peaks so I was expecting to be left with questions....so thoughts? Did you love it? Hate it?

My theory is that Mullholland Dr. was supposed to be a TV production and then the network got cold feet after it was filmed and wouldn't air it so Lynch later got foreign investors to pony up some dough so he could re-write it using much of what was already shot but then adding some newly-filmed stuff to make it work as a feature film and then they released that. That's what I think.

loved it, it literally had me on the edge of my seat. another lynch masterpiece. he's really into the supernatural and other dimensions in time/space, usually incorporating those concepts into his work.
