View Full Version : should i buy a motorcycle?
i want to buy a motorcycle, a used one, if i can find one for like $1000. i want a harley, or something harley looking. i wanna ride it to work and save on gas money! plus i wanna be a hot biker chick. everyone is telling me it's super dangerous blahblah, but i know that, and i dont plan on driving on highways so never above like 40 mph, and i dunno. i might get one if i have the money.

it's not particularly easy. bikes can be difficult to ride. practice with someone else's in a safe place (parking lot etc) and see if you can get a feel for it. i wouldn't do it, personally.

yeah...thats probably the best route to go...if you want to be a pussy!
actually everyone I know that has ridden a motorcycle learned in a parking lot.
i think you need to get a special license to drive a motorcycle, don't you?

yes. and most of the courses to get that license are in a parking lot (at least here)....i think that cosmo is on to something.

OF COURSE I AM!
seriously though, bikes are pretty heavy and if you don't think you could handle wearing the protective gear (not just jeans) every. single. time. you ride it...besides kooter, admit it, you JUST want to look hot. get a vespa, or a honda metropolitan.
A $1000 dollar Harley is about as easy to find as a hooker giving free handjobs.

^actually free handjobs from a hooker almost sounds easy compared to find a $1000 harley.
kate d: get a yamaha xs, paint it flat black, chop the seat shit off the back and you'll be bad as you need to be.
peep this: buy it now: $1100 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1980-Yamaha-XS1100-Special-running-with-parts-bike_W0QQitemZ190035789865QQihZ009QQcategoryZ80650 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

yeah i should have specified. i don't necessarily want a harley, just anything not a streetbike because they look gay. and i can spend more than $1000, that just seemed like it should be a good amount for an old bike in decent shape. i dont know really. i wanna get it mostly just to learn how to ride and not feel bad if i totally fuck it up. i just think it'd be cool as shit to pull up to work on a motorcycle:cool:

this would be a great bike to learn on. plus you could ride it for 3 years and sell it for what you paid for it.
My brother in law is moving to Amarillo soon. His only mode of transport is a Harley. He wants me to buy one for roadtrips to New Mexico and Colorado. I have been looking and can't find one for under 15 Grand. I might get one but I still remember when I tried to jump a creek on my dirt bike and broke my collarbone, wrist and arm.

forget a harley. get an italian crotch rocket (y)
that little honda is perfect! it's so cute! i think i'm definitely gonna buy a bike. not off ebay though. maybe craigslist. i wanna be able to (have joe) ride it first to make sure it's in decent enough condition for me to learn to ride on and then make it to work and back everyday. i definitely dont want any crotch rockets, that sounds way too easy for me to kill myself on. i really like that honda. omg, i'm gonna be a biker chick:cool:
