View Full Version : What "popular" beer has better taste?

Justin

For most popular clubs you go to these 4 are really the only choices(and the 4 most choose anyways).....If you had to choose one from the list which one would it be?

I chose Coors Light. I don't mind drinking those out of the can....I also decided to be cheap when it comes to purchasing alcohol...

price difference:

24-12 oz cans with the "NEW SILVER lining to keep the beer cold" (LOL) $14.59
24-14 oz pub cans of Guinness $39.99

Guinness is obviously my favorate beer but goddamn should there really be this much of a price cap between the two!

lol i know. Those arent my choices, but the choices given by popular danceclubs nearby as well as the choices the pittsburgh steelers, penguins and pirates give their fans in attendance. Minus Yuengling and iron city, but thats just a local thing.

yuengling isn't a local thing, though it's brewed locally for you. we have it here.

The Anheiser Busch company adds a large amount of formaldehyde to its "beers" as one of their preservatives. Budweiser is nothing more than embalmbing fluid.

If I have to drink swaggy beer, I always go for Michelob Light.

Coors comes in second and Miller Lite gets 3rd.

Bud is just nasty! I can't stand that crap.

The major American beers are horrible. I dont know if you guys have microbreweries or anything that make good beers, but they sure as hell don't send it over here, any American stuff we get is always horrible.

As for canadian beer: labatt is horrible, kokanee is great.

Come on people.....there are some decent brewery pubs in the states. In my old city of Richmond, Va they had Legend Brewery....
http://www.legendbrewing.com/
The lager is a very good beer.
I remember a good brewing company on the Eastern Shore of Maryland called Wild Goose brewery. I am sure there are many many more regional brewrey pubs.

there;s a Queensland beer called XXXX which they tried to market in the states but they didn't realise that XXXX is a brand of condoms there. needless to say the beer failed miserably

Yeah we've got a brewery around here called Dogfishhead which is pretty decent. Their beers pack quite the wallop, though.

Bud, Miller, Coors, etc. all suck. I drank Miller lite last night because I got a free pitcher, but I couldn't take more than a few sips at a time. Bleh.

If those were my options, I probably wouldn't drink...unless I was really desparate, and most of the time I'm not.

OH! BEER REALIZATION I HAD YESTERDAY!
Guiness draught is good. The bottles are shit. I had only had it out of the bottle before and it made me gag. The draught is very good though, I need to start trying Irish car bombs.

Mmmmmm, Dogfish Head. Good shit. If you live in the concentrated area where Magic Hat and/or Fat Tire is available, then those. Otherwise, Yuengling.

no shit. one consistently terrible beer and a bunch of shittier than normal light beers.

if i were this thread starter i'd start questioning my sexuality.

ghetto beer wise, i choose miller high life every time. i drank it in canada when it was brewed under license by molson. i prefer the clear throw back bottles its sold in down hurrrr.

ITS THE MOTHERFUCKING CHAMPAGNE OF BEERS.

yuenling is choice for a domestic micro/batch brew. its like amerikkkas moosehead or something. sam adams makes some decent brews and a few american micros that escape me at the moment are aight too.

I don't think it's that strong, but whatever they put in it gets you a little more dizzy than usual.

Their punkin ale is out now, I hear it's pretty feckin' good. I should go get some sometime.

whoaaaaaaaaaaa easy man.

I don't like these beer choices i made here, these choices are the only beers served at sporting events here in pittsburgh or the dance clubs...

When I buy beer or go to a nice pub somewhere I like guinness on draft, bass ale...or molson bottle.

I just choose coors light over the other "domestic" beers, when not given the opportunity for a better selection.

I found out that's because it was actually IPA that was being served to me, in a Miller Lite-labeled pitcher.

I had Miller Lite today. Not bad, but not good. Watered down beer, but not gaggy like Bud Lite.

QueenAdrock
10-01-2006, 12:40 PM
It's not that we don't have taste, it's that the bars over here will give you pints of Miller Lite for $3. You can't beat that price. You just gotta suck it up and deal with it, especially if you're a broke college student.

I'm pretty sure most people would drink fancier beer if it was cheaper. I definitely would.
