el-p - fantastic damage

what do you think? i haven't listened to it in its entirety, but from what i heard, its not touching company flow or cannabil ox "cold vein".

You got that right. I picked up this record to get a taste for El-P's solo material, and it turned me right off. Pretty boring in my opinion, not to mention self-indulgent. I'd recomend "Collecting the Kid" over "Fantastic Damage", though even that album's pretty hit or miss.

yeah El-P got all weird after Company Flow. Theres a few tracks I like on Fantastic Damage but overall the album didnt have much of a lasting appeal with me. I like Deep Space 9MM and Tuned Mass Damper a lot.

I appreciate it for the fact that it's original and he obviously put effort into it, but it's a dust collector. I've played it maybe twice in its entirety since buying it.
