Yeah, I am. Also, there is Funky Pepp and a user with Dortmunds soccer logo as an avatar, though he claims he's from Zurich. They have soccer clubs there too, you know!

I'll be in K-Town this weekend the bars here as so much better than the ones at home. The "hip hop" clubs I've been dargged to.....well the bars are good.

Well, it is still a very small town, considering a good deal of the 100K inhabitants are US military. Too many people all over Germany still go for "utz-utz-utz"-Techno, which most of the clubs cater to. Kammgarn is a cool place for concerts, though.

/is an army brat.
it's a very lovely country. i like bratwurst. and mayonnaise with my chips. and paprika flavoured crisps. and dickmanns.

You don't have anything comparable to Dickmanns? They really ran in the early 80s when the name "Negerkuss" came under fire from the burgeoning pc movement. Growing up near so many GIs I got to experience things other germans did not yet (Nachos, Dr Pepper) or do not yet know(Cracker Jacks, Butterfinger) .

I was real surpised to see how many US bases there still are in Bavaria. alot have closed down and been revamped, like the Adidas HQ in Herzogenaurach, but there are still loads.

we are still nazi enough to call something similar to dickmanns negerkuss and have a chocolate called negerbrot and a kids book called zen kleine negerlein

i only drink dr pepper cause i heard the people here talking about it a lot but it's still an underground drink in austria

I grew up in Minden which ist quite close to Rinteln. :)

Damn right! Oh, btw, you as Bavarian: can you tell me what I have to wear to go to an Oktoberfest? Not the! Oktoberfest, but our office-partners are planning an Oktoberfest-Party and I hate all those Dirndl and Lederhosen... :mad:

Please, tell me I can wear something else...

Stiletto high heels and lace undies are guaranteed to be a smash hit! Just kidding, I'm a Palatine (K-Town is Kaiserslautern) and I'm happy the O-fest is over cause these bavarians think they're the master race of germans... (n)
I think it looks kinda dumb that whole "Trachten"-Kram. There is no real alternative I know of. Maybe a t-shirt which proclaims your love for beer! :rolleyes:
