You prolly know already but heartbeats is the song jose gonzalez covered and then he covered loads more and they all sound the same.
I have heard a coupla good remixes of silent shout and hearbeats that are quite good ( if you like minimal house music) The heartbeats remix is by Rex The Dog

Sort of indie dance pop, they put out quite a few mixes ( with different styles) as well. I think they sound bit like a quieter less shouty republica or sunscreem, not sure if you will remember those bands.

I think that genre is known as elektro... Plink plonk for me...

They're brother and sister and I remember listening to them at my schoolmate's back in 2000.

I was at a club when I heard it and went and asked the DJ who it was...she looked pissy because I inturrupted her, but I had to know.

They are cyndi lauper-esque.

anyway yeah, i like heartbeats a lot...but i've never listened to the rest of the album. beck was gonna send it to me but then i found he had P!nk songs in his shared music file and i made lots of fun of him.

I think I hate The Knife. I bought Deepcuts a couple of years ago and it was painful listening.

Yezzir! I got caught up in the hype. I think Prototype is my favorite of all of them. There was a link somewhere in which someone found out who Rex the Dog was. He had a dance hit when he was 16 or something. Bah.

Silent Shout is one of the best albums of the year, so you should look into it even if you hated Deep Cuts.
