Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man???

O.K not that he isn't a fine actor...but...he's sure not Tony Stark material...and not that Iron Man was ever a particularily good book or character (except in cross overs)...I'm thinking Stan Lee is determined to produce a film version of all his characters before his time is up.....I don't think another film as lame as Daredevil,Fantastic Four or Elecktra will help his legacy.......Nicholas Cage as Ghost Rider may be interesting though and Silver Surfer could stand on it's own as a film not a sequel to F4......I love comix

I was very surprised on the casting announcement, to say the least. But it's not as bad/shocking as the Heath Ledger/Joker casting...

Ghost Rider looks pretty lame to me. Special effects will kick ass....but thats about it.
Ledger as the Joker...at first I was totally against it...I think there was a thread about it a while back and someone (a-z perhaps) suggested Gareth from the Office and that would have been fucking great. But then someone (a-z perhaps again) posted a pic of ledger with a total jokerish smile. So I can see that happening. Looking the role that is. Acting on the other hand...who knows..batman begins was a huge step away from Newsies for Christian Bale. So maybe it will do the same for Ledger.

huh....I had yet to hear about Ledger as the Joker....he does seem to have a wicked grin capacity in that face of his....it'll be hard though...after all it's not just anyone who can dance with the devil by the pale moonlight!

I actually finally watched V for Vendetta and can relate to why Alan Moore completley disassociated himself with the film....(n)

Now anybody who thinks how this trailer is developed reminds them of other mediocre Marvel films like Ghost Rider needs to shoot themselves in the foot right now.
