eh....it was alright. I don't see how they can make this an ongoing series and still keep it fresh. Maybe it would be better as a mini-series....

I really really want to get nekkid and dirty with ali larter though. Even though her "superhero" quality makes no sense to me so far and seems like more of a curse than anything else.

I have a feeling this show is going to be a little like LOST in that it is going to take sooo long for things to be explained. And before any explanation they throw a couple of other things that need to be explained at you in the process.
ill still watch it for a while though.

its ok....she is soooo bonable....so that makes up for it. well not really...but still....yeah.

And yeah...the japanese dude (Hiro?) is my favorite character so far.

where it was him who causes the explosion with everyone running from him (except his brother) was waaay fucked up. I don't know if its because its a dream I've had at least a dozen times (without me being a nuclear explosion of sorts) so I know how he felt, or if it was just cool. I dunno.

The actress playing the cheerleader is about the best on the show, I think. I'm at about episode 11.

It's a pretty uneven TV series. I know it's definitely lodged in comic book land, but it makes my eyes roll back sometimes with stupid dialogue or action or whatever. The interaction between cheerleader's creepy dad and Sylar or whatever his name has been cringe-inducing.

Actually, most of the acting is kind of soap opera bad, but it gets by on a pretty hooky storyline. It seems like it's paying off the mysterious stuff more than LOST has, but then I haven't seen the latest season of LOST, and maybe it did disappear up its own tookus.

Hopefully this show works out. A couple times I've been close to throwing in the towel, but then something else pretty nifty happens.

John Badham directed an episode, I noticed. I still like WarGames. (y)

the show is starting to fall off. i realized im not into a lot of the stories. But now that they let us on to a new dilemma im hoping the show will pick up again. And Monica's powers are the best so far. Kick ass.

and I agree with Rock that Ali Larter is bonable (even if she has no boobies.) you know what would be great? an Ali Larter/Sheri Moon Zombie sandwich.(y)

I enjoyed the 1st season on DVD..but I haven't been able to tune into the second season yet...and with the way things jump around I might as well wait for the 2nd season DVD.

Im about 6 episodes from the end of Series 1, and I really like it.

It took a big dip after bout episode 11...and didn't recover til episode 17, where alot of my friends gave up patience and left it.

The only thing wrong with it is the Jessica/Nikki story, its completely fucking stupid. The acting and writing is bad enough, but the whole stuck in mirrors/schizo thing is just plain stupid and doesn't fit in with the rest of the story at all.

i'm sure i haven't seen episode 20 yet.

on the whole, it's pretty good, altho a bit predictable...
unless i just happen to be psychic--i always seem to be seeing what's going to happen next.
i also don't like the way so many women get butchered.... especially the "hero" types.
i thought the one with short hair was pretty interesting, then she gets sylared! :(

i love claire tho and sylar is a brilliant evil character.

aside from the slight niggles i am TOTALLY addicted.

yeah, same here. Although she's no where near as annoying in the second series. That whole "having conversations with the mirror" stuff was terrible.

I'm skipping reading posts since I am catching up on season 2 right now, but I wanted to comment on something: Matt Parkman is a completely unlikable character, IMO.

Kind of like Simone: I don't think they made her likable at all. In fact, I was happy when she died so we didn't have to hear her bitch at either of them anymore. Heh.

They're gonna end "Volume 2" and when they restart the series it will be "Volume 3"

Theyve rejigged the story so that they can have a "season-ending" type finale for when the show has to go into the Writers Strike break.

It's about time this show picked up. Best episode this season. Feels like an episode from Season 1. Plenty of WTF moments. Especially this line;
