The Academy Awards aren't for a long time, but you never know. That would be so f*cking cool! It definitely deserves best documentary. Could you imagine if it won, and Hornblower got to give an acceptance speech...(!)

50 other people would be involved in the acceptance speech, too.

I think there is strong chance it could get nominated. From documentary to editing-type categories.
This film was accepted at Sundance and lots of other film festivals.

sorry, i know we're all fans here but i really don't think it's up to the standard of an inconvenient truth or ballets russes or any of the other documentaries that are being hyped for the 2007 race. awesome is a concert film, and while you can argue the boundary between concert film and documentary (it is, after all, uh.. documenting the concert) i don't think the academy types would be great fans of it or its very niche subject matter.
i do not think for one second it would ever be considered for best editing.
also, the deadline to submit films for documentary nominations is normally in september, so i think it is too late, unless the people behind the film have made a push for it already.

i think beastie music comes as more inconvenient to most anglo-saxon philistines then al gore's (power center member) movie

i understand you were trying to be clever and witty in that sentence, but it totally didn't make any sense.
so you're saying that the music of the beastie boys would only appeal to people of a low cultural understanding?

i know! ridonkulous!
hey, we're scottish. we're "familiar" with sheep, aren't we? s'all good in the hood.
btw, i raised a bebbe lamb once. yes i did. no not in the breast feeding way you pervs. it's mammy died and we had to bottle feed it for a couple of months at like 6am. it was not happy. lambs do not want to be cuddled. my mum gave it a bath using that old johnson's melon and pineapple toddler shampoo and every time it rained it would smell of fruit and foam a little. heehee (y)
