The State disbanded in the mid 1990s. Its humor that for the most part kicked ass when I was 15, but a lot of it now seems a bit retarded.
This skit however rules, also the Krispy Pops one where they just go "DUH DUH DUH DUH DUH!!!"

i still haven't seen very many episodes of the state, but one of my favorite moments was one of the little blurbs before the opening credits. there's a guy on a bridge with a sandwich board that says GOD IS DEAD, and then there's a guy dressed up as god, and they bump into each other and scream
well it's more of a sight gag

Dane Cook....I'm glad I am not the only one who does not get him or his stupid stories that he passes off for stand-up. HBO actually gave him a special. I hope his 15 minutes are up soon. He is in a movie with some guy named Dax who was on Punked. Adam Sandler got his start on MTV's Remote Control..... now Dax with Punked. Sandler makes me laugh though and he did characters like Stud Boy & Trivia Delinquent. I digress but I must say I also liked Sing Along with Colin on Remote Control not to mention Kari Wuhrer.
i dunno, i like dane cook, i'm sorry. his head's gotten pretty big lately, but i think he's funny. if you ask me, i think it's just hip to hate him there i said it
Well I did not think in hip terms...I really just became exposed to him on the HBO special. I did not laugh once but to each his own. I'm more of a Richard Pryor type guy. I loved this guy named Earthquake who had a special on HBO.
i like richard pryor too (and not just because it's racist to say that you don't like richard pryor, i actually like him)
i dunno why i like dane cook, i just do. he's more or less a 100% delivery guy. comedy in general is about 80-90% delivery but his jokes are pretty much all in how he tells them. i guess it just comes down to whether or not you enjoy his style of delivery.
what can i say, i do. it's very much a gut laugh, not a brain laugh, but it's a hearty laugh all the same
for example, "i think someone took a shit on the coats"

my first experience with him was a live show, maybe it was the fact that i was caught up in an audience? to be fair, i haven't listened to him in a good long while. maybe if i did, i wouldn't like him anymore
