Anyone ever seen The Big Hit? That movie was so terrible, its probably the only movie I've ever gone to see at a theater when I actually was bitter that I spent two hours of my life on it.

man, some of you really haven't seen bad movies before have you (not to say that I will dispute anyones entry, but uh, no where near the WORST).
the recent Chronicles of Narnia was pretty bad, though. They chopped that shit up and took all possible emotion or connection out of it completely.

Bio-Dome (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115683/), it is so moronic I'm not sure if it fits in this category.
I don't mean the worst category (it is hands down).........I mean movie/film/moviefilm category. It's stretching it calling Bio-Dome a movie.

i disagree with final destination wholeheartedly, because i love that movie. even
the sequel was good, but i haven't seen the third one yet. it's definitely not one of the worst no way
i'd say a lot of the horror movies being made recently though, they're the worst. they're just using the same formula again and again....the last good thriller i've liked is saw and that's it. the rest are crap. (that's the nicest way i can put it)

i liked the first final destination a lot, second one is ok but a bit silly and the third one is more of the same, they are all classic "take your brain out" movies and they dont count as bad movies imo cos you sort of already know they arent going to be that good

i vaguely remember battlefield earth. i was too innocent to catch the scientologoical references though
manos is a pretty bad movie, but monster a go-go (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Qu6Eet7phZE) is a REALLLY close tie. and that director actually went on to do other things instead of killing himself like the manos hands of fate people did.
monster a go-go gets less attention because it's so bad that even the MST3k episode is pretty lame. it's so bad you can't even make fun of it.

The remake is shite because of the reasons below:
THE ORIGINAL IS SUCH A FUCKING MINDBLOWING FILM THAT THERE WAS ABSOUTELY NO WAY IT SHOULD HAVE EVER BEEN REMADE.
If memory serves ( I have tried blocking it out) they changed the rules of the fuckin game.
They more or less gloss over the fact that the lead charcter was so powerful he could rule the world.

Well, to be brief...
The original Rollerball was a very good film - full of social commentary and reasonably realistic assumptions of what the future might hold, namely that 6 corporations rule the world and that the citizens of Earth are oppressed into accepting this and their only outlet is a death sport in which one man is seen to be too powerful by the corporation heads. Cue our star Jonathan E, the best Rollerball player the world has ever seen, being forced to quit the sport but refusing, which in turn leads to the corporations changing the rules until they think he'll end up dead. This doesn't work because Jonathan is the man .
Then there was the remake. It could've worked; Rollerball certainly had room for an upgrade. The original was perhaps a little slow in terms of pace, and now feels dated in some parts. Some of the plot points could've done with clarifying too.
What the remake did however, was to totally destroy any fond memories that the word Rollerball conjoured up. Jonathan, the strongest player in the game, was played by Chris Klein, that gawky jock from American Pie. A man with so little substance that he makes Keanu Reeves look like Al Pacino. They turned his best friend into a token black guy and cast that well reknowned actor LL Cool J in the role, and had Rebecca Romijn Stamos (supermodel, whose only previous acting job was as Mystique in X-men, a role without any lines) as Jonathan's love interest. So a nice well-rounded cast then.
Then, the only part of the story that had an update was the arena and the game itself. The original had a massive oval track where 2 teams in plain uniforms and on rollerskates try to put a ball in a hole with the help of a couple of guys on motorbikes. The remake replaced all this with a multicoloured Gladiators style arena the size of your bedroom, where 50+ players without any obvious team colours dress up in masks and wrestling outfits and try to put a ball in a basketball hoop whilst riding skateboards and bmxs over half-ramps as celebrities such as Pink and Slipknot look on from the stands. MTV programming at its best. The game is filmed from all kinds of weird angles to mask the fact that none of the actors can actually do any of this without being attached to wires, and the rules are none existent. One of the commentators even admits to not knowing any of the rules except that you score by putting the ball in the net. Great scripwriting there.
Finally, the second half of the film is just Klein and LL Cool J riding around on snowmobiles and talking about sniper rifles and rocket launchers while metal-rap plays in the background. Did I mention that around 25 minutes of this sequence is filmed entirely in night-vision and that you can't actually make out who is who half the time? Token black guy gets killed, and the story comes to it's dramatic end, or at least I think it did. I don't actually remember because I hadn't actually notcied a plot of any kind whatsoever. The whole thing was just a series of complicated extreme sports stunts pegged together with some scenes of Mystique getting her baps out.
I wouldn't even spend 50p on this shite.

The worst movie I ever saw in a theater was Can't Stop the Music. The point of the movie was to explain how the Village People became so popular. The problem was that disco died before the movie was released.
To get an idea how bad the acting and dialogue was, you have to watch the first moments of the YMCA clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zbm0YYzInkA&mode=related&search=). Look at Bruce Jenner's outfit and Steve Guttenberg's energy!
The song part of the YMCA clip is just your basic homo erotic dance number. The more memorable musical number is the Milk Shake Song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YG02xaxBJog&mode=related&search=).
God bless youtube and you people who post things on there. I have tried to explain the movie to people and now I have proof!

I think it probably was made worse by the fact that it was so universally jocked as amazing. When bad movies are recognized as bad, it is what it is...but when everyone and their dog makes them out to be amazing works of art it seems to make them worse.

a history of violence was alright. nothing spectacular, but certainly not an epic masterpiece or great work of art. a very simple yet interesting story. i don't see how anyone could make it out to be anything more than that.

The problem is you used the word "interesting." I have to strongly disagree.

I might have to go with Battlefield Earth. My friends insisted that we rent it and watch it all the way through, no matter what, so we did both.

I never watched the whole thing, but the remake of Diabolique was ridiculously putrid. My friend and I walked out after about 15-20 minutes.

The Dark Knight (n)
maybe not the worst
but certainly the most hyped mediocre crap film ever
edit: it's hard for me to decide what is the "worst film ever" because i actually enjoy watching "bad" movies. they are funny and entertaining... i sometimes glorify a film for it's flaws.

SI (http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=signs)NGS (http://www.geocities.com/tgarcia_14/signs_sucks).The most disturbing scene in the movie is when they finally get to kill the extraterrestials- the stupid line "swing away" like it's a glorious, heroic moment that they try to emphasize by adding a "dramatic" musical background... it was disappointing, just like any other shyalololonlaman film.
13 Ghosts. Insulting. What a fucking waste of time. Whoever thinks this movie is scary is a total wimp.

Bio-Dome (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0115683/), it is so moronic I'm not sure if it fits in this category.
I don't mean the worst category (it is hands down).........I mean movie/film/moviefilm category. It's stretching it calling Bio-Dome a movie.
i love biodome
my vote is for going overboard

I'm usually savvy enough that I wind up avoiding "worst film evers," because they're pretty obvious. And, as some folks have noted, sometimes
really horrible movies can be entertaining in their awfulness.
So, in light of that, I have to put forward Full Frontal. I am totally on Soderbergh's side, but this movie was just awful awful awful. Nicky Katt
(sp?) was mildly amusing in moments, and the out-of-focus sex scene was terrific, but, overall, this was an awful movie with pretty much zero
entertainment value in any way. One of the worst movies I've ever watched all the way through.
