Talk me in off the ledge people, I'm having a really down day. I'm so fucking sick of all the major shit in my life right at the moment I've spent about half the day choking back tears; I miss my husband and my life and I want to go home. If I didn't have my gorgeous darling wonderful perfect baby, I'd probably be developing a pretty intense drinking habit about now.

Don't worry about the details, it's all too depressing and recounting it all here will just bum me out further.

I just need to hear about some nice things. Tell me something you got going on in your life that's good right now.

i approve of this mentality

I have just been searching the internet for proof that you cant lick your elbow and came across loads of sites that say "its impossible to lick your elbow" unless you have some sort of unfortunate physical characteristic. And then I came across loads sites that say it is possible. So your right , I cant prove it.

Really nice Guy...my boy is 7 weeks. If you move to Texas our kids could play together.

I have a little good news. When I bought my house the people left a Spa/Hot Tub. I don't really like above ground Spas so I listed it in the paper for $1,200 and guy just gave me $1,000 cash....he will also drain it, unhook it and move it.

Err. sorry to cast a shadow on your good news but wasnt the spa included in the price of your house? If so , isnt it possible you paid more than a grand for it so you may have lost money.

No....the spa was included but we got the house at a steal. It is a 1929 Victorian over 3,000 sq ft. on 2 lots. The previous owner also left me his pooltable and wide screen TV w/surround sound system. They had to move and had lowered the price signigicantly. We have always made out like bandits when we sell and buy real estate. A house in our new neighborhood similar to our house just sold for over 100 grand what we paid and that house doesn't have a greenhouse, attached apartment, gameroom or Koi Pond.

The spa was just a drain on electricity and not being used. To be honest the former owners did not use it either. It was in good shape but we want the area for a table and chairs.

Here is our house...

We plan to paint it pewter and tone down the gingerbread aspect.

Peachy, I realise your going thru a bad one at the mo but evry cloud and all that..

I know I said my daughter was born but in the last 6 weeks the following has actually happened to me :

My daughter was born
Two weeks later my step dad died. He was my dad, if you know what I mean, he brought me up etc and i'm still not over it and I will miss him.
He did get to meet his grandaughter once but the whole thing got me thinkin and I decided to let my real dad know about Hannah. I have met him twice before but not seen him for over 10 years. He left my mum when i was 2 and i didnt see him for twenty years. There's no bad blood between him and me but its just been one of those things where we had gone down different paths. ANyway I thought he should know he's a grandfather and the result is that he is coming to visit tomorrow and has vowed to stay in touch with me and give me any help I need.
So I have been thru a whole range of emotions recently and I just wanted to say that it is possible to come thru.

Keep yer pecker up:)

It is a mix of grey and brown. It is a nice color because at certain times of the day it looks different. We are still thinking of border colors maybe ivory or antique white.

I have monday off! Normally I would spend a 3 day weekend partying and drinking but, since I'm on standby for a week, I have reorganized my house/gone to the gym alot/spend a good amount of time in my kitchen perfecting my favorite grub/talked to some good friends from the States (sober :)) and just have been having a really productive weekend :).

ps. you are awesomeness mixed with ice cream (delicious ice cream) (y)

(!) just to make you feel homesick...

i'm just about to go to sainsbury's to buy some guacamole and soured cream to go in fajitas for dinner tonight. we 3 try and eat together at the weekends.

if i had a waitrose nearer i would shop there instead, but beggars can't be choosers eh.

oh and i'm pleased with myself as i just finished writing the applications for my son's next year schools.... pretty hefty work! that's something good to tell you, on top of something quite mundane.

stay strong ms peachy, i'm full of admiration for you:o :)

:) thanks kiddos. I know it's darkest before the dawn and all that crap, so I'm trying to hang in there. It's really really hard some days though, believe me. Someday I will fill you all in on the details and I believe you will be shocked. A lesser mortal would have embarked on a killing spree by now, I'm pretty sure.
