VH1 plans to stream the preshow for the upcoming VH1 Hip Hop Honors event exclusively on VSPOT, its standalone broadband channel.
The streaming pre-show will begin at 6 p.m. EST on Oct. 17, a full three hours prior to the Hip Hop Honors TV premiere. VSPOT will feature red carpet interviews and backstage footage from the third annual event, which is to be hosted by Ice T. In addition, VSPOT will stream an exclusive artist performance that won't be part of the TV coverage, while fans will also be able to access eight to 10 additional performances from the show on the site.
To promote this year's show, both VSPOT and VH1 Mobile will churn out a heavy rotation of exclusive hip hop content during the month of October, while sister networks VH1 Classic and VH1 Soul will also run special hip hop-dedicated programming.
at least some small consolation for those who don't have American vh1
