i can't watch that because i'm at work, but i haven't had corned beef this century. for years. yonkers. i wouldn't want to, either.

it sounds gross but so is pate, and i bought some really posh pate at a deli last night (i spent £27 on dinner + alcohol for one person! YIKES!) - that's just, um, meat paste, right? with peppercorns. and venison. and a touch of middle class. hahah.

semolina. haven't had that in years either (i'm just listing loads of dodgy school dinner memories - hey that's an idea for the cooking forum thread!). oh man. with a dollop of jam in the middle. how did they get us to eat that shit? i'm so glad jamie oliver stepped in.

for me, the smell of impulse body spray is synomonous with changing rooms and p.e. it was well trendy then. the vanilla ones etc. haha. and so...? that cheapo red perfume everyone had.

i was the kid with the kappa "popper" trousers and kickers shoes. LOLz.

no. i wasn't any of those things. (i was the shy one always losing her baby teeth in class. were you the one with the epilepsy? there was always one epilepsy kid. and one diabetic kid.) i went to school mostly in germany so our version of british educational culture was a slightly behind the times and curious beast.. lots of kids moving away every 9 months or so and others coming in from "home" and bringing with them a new set of trends and what not.

kappa trousers tho. what were they on?! man. they were gross. and the boys would always rip them all the way up the leg to annoy you.

oh goodness, i'm trying to remember the brand of slightly wannabe "hiphop" - itty jackets and clothes that everyone wore. they had a sort of graffiti-cartooned person on them. PLEASE. someone must know!

I was the kid who got cheered for being smart until everyone turned 10 and then suddenly they all started going out and shagging each other and kicking my head in every day for being smart.

The diabetic kid always carried a banana around with him in case of emergencies but he just used to hit people with it until he had to be given a new banana.

There was a kid who hated being left in school without his mum and had to be taken out of school at about age 8-9 because he still cried when she left the room. I think that kid probably grew up to be a transsexual go-go dancer or something.

there was always one wee fat one who couldn't run the hundred metres properly and would like vomit with the effort it took at the end.

come on! you must know the clothing brand! i'm going to explode with frustration. i remember peter andre wearing a that-brand of jacket when he was on morning tv back in the day haha.

also, those manchester united strips with the sort of laces at the neck that tied up, ya know. lame.

and big sparkly plastic "jelly" sandals.

I remember some kind of clothing called Big Willy or something along those lines that was kinda graffiti styled. Kids only wore it because it had the word willy in. Or Cool Willy maybe... I can't remember. It had a palm tree on. Or did it? I dunno :(
