Can anyone recommend an intelligent, brilliant, amazing indie or mainstream film that didn't get the popularity it deserved!! I'm sick of renting bad movies and wasting my money!(lb)

the last film i rented and was not too pleased with was a long and forgotten old River Phoenix film called My own private idaho! I thought it kinda sucked!

Unfortunately Kleptomaniac i haven't seen them yet, I've searched around in several video rental places and they just dont have it, i might have to do a special order or something.

Just from my brief perusing of this thread I would agree that Lucky Number Sleven and The Life Aquatic are both worth watching (y)

Thats because it sucks, it has a stupid pretentious plot that makes no sense at all. Ritchie tries to make a hip tarantino style movie, but its not. If you want to have a crappy day, see this movie

I watched Fear & Loathing on the weekend, not for everyone but still I'd recommend it. I'd seen it before but ages ago, and I this time I read the book before which made the movie a lot better

it;s hard to understand, but it is understandable. just watch it again. i didn't properly get lock stock the first time i saw it. but then again i was only 13

Oh my!! I always thought I was on top of things when it came to POP culture! 80% of the movies you guys have reccomended, I have not seen....
But then again I'm someone who hasn't seen the Star Wars trilogy in its entirity! (I know shame on me) my bad, my bad! Its taken me a while.... it was only last month I finally saw the Godfather trilogy, and i must say it was fuckin amazing....1 & 2 only! Part 3 blows the big one!!!

I wasnt expecting to like either The JAcket or The Machinist. They all right, a bit grim and moody but worth watching. I also liked Constantine even tho it had its faults.
