cuz I guarantee it's better than mine.

Wednesday-Sunday nights I work 10pm to 7am. What that usually means is I show up around 9pm and can't get out of there until 8am. So, that amounts to 50 or so hours a week which=$$$ but means I hardly ever see my friends or do anything fun as my only days off are lame Monday and Tuesday.

1pm-9pm M-F, unless I trade shifts....and when I do its either a 3-11 or a 4-midnight. Also, if I trade I can get a four day weekend. So yeah overall my work schedule is iiiight.

Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00 or 6:00pm, with the occasional Saturday shift as well. It's actually the best work schedule I've ever had, I think.

I used to work that schedule during my first 1.5 years of law school except it was 11 p.m. to 8 a.m. and I went to law school from 6:30 p.m. to 10:20 p.m. On Monday mornings we would all go drinking after work and hit the bars when they opened.

I know what you mean about the friends. Hardly anyone wanted to hang out on Monday and Tuesday from midnight to 4 a.m. which were my most alert weekend times. My best friend was a trooper and sometimes she'ld go to an all night restaurant with me. I used to know all of them. That's also how I saw Janet Jackson.

Most of the time, I don't get days off so, I work from Monday to Monday. 5pm to 6am.

If I can get some days off it's usually Mon- Saturday and still the same hours.

I have to leave at 4pm and get to work around 4:30pm and when I leave, I get home at about 6:30am.

Monday to friday 9am until 5.30 but they are pretty flexible if you want to start early/leave early. As long as you do your 37.5 hours a week they don't mind (within reason) when you turn up. Every six weeks or so I have to work overnight for releases but get a day off in lieu for that

1300-2100 is like the perfect shift for alcoholics.

i used to work 12s (0700-1900/1900-0700) and i kinda miss them. 2 on, 3 off 3 on 2 off with a 3 day weekend every other weekend.

it seems like you're at work a whole lot less.

I try and get here by 8:30am but usually don't roll in til about 9:45am. I try and take lunch at about 12:30pm and come back at 1:30pm, but I usually leave at 12:15pm and get back at 1:45pm. I try and leave here at 5:30pm but usually leave at 5:00pm. Monday - Friday.

I need to start acting like I haven't totally lost my drive to succeed.

my technical work hours are 8:30 to 5.

i usually get to court at 9. on fridays i usually have nothing scheduled, so i go in at whatever time i can get away with. but, some nights i leave at 5 and others i leave at 4 and come home to change and then i'm at the jail until 8. or i don't leave the office until 6:00 or 6:30. usually, one day out of the weekend, i'm at the jail for 3 hours or so. i'm also usually doing some kind of work on files or mail or motions.

i generally only take a lunch on monday, and it's an unwritten rule that attorneys can have 1.5 hours for lunch. because they know we work at least 60 hours per week for shit pay.

DON'T EVEN TRY TO TAKE MY HOUR AND A HALF LUNCH.

Mine is all over the place. The basic shifts are 6-2, 2-10 and 10-6 (nights), but we have some weeks where we do 8 days in a row followed by two days off, others we do 5 on with 4 off. The worst shifts I do are a 2-10 followed by a 6-2 the next day, and "earlies back nights", where we do a 6-2, go home for a bit of sleep then go back in for a night shift.....only thing is you finish the early shift and can't sleep until about an hour before you have to be back at work:mad:

But they pay well...

I knew this was going to be one of those threads that presented itself under the guise of a rhetorical question indicating you were curious about us but in fact just wanted to share something about you. Selfish bastard
