I'm thinking I want to be Rachel from Bladerunner, because I can easily make my hair look like either of the styles she has in the movie. HOWEVER, that businessy suit thing she wears isn't very sexy and seems like it may be difficult to replicate (lol).
OR, my hair is finally long enough to be bettie page now...but I'd have to get a corset or something and those seem expensive.
so, give me some ideas. like obscure characters from things. I don't know. preferably with dark hair so I don't have to get a wig.
and you know, this can be for everyone! it's what I'd like to call an "idea bank". *clink*
how about a robot? cardboard boxes, and that pipe-type-stuff all sprayed silver.
find 3 friends and dress up as the B-52s

i'm stealing crystal's idea and going as a stewardess SORRY FLIGHT ATTENDANT with snakes attached to me like they're attacking me, and blood everywhere.
you could be a young katharine hepburn. i think you have similar bone structure. and you could dress and do your hair so rad. talk like a scary old lady, though. she had a weirdass voice.

oh! thanks, but that's not scary. unless I was a dead katharine hepburn...but that seems in poor taste. :/
I'm already getting questions about my costume because two years ago I was a dead secretary and everyone loved it and they want more! last year I was an injured cyborg bounty hunter (which nobody really got) and a dead teacher. people kind of liked the teacher thing, but it didn't go over as well as the secretary.
what other kinds of professions are iconic (besides a nurse) that I can be a dead one of?

ha, sarky.
you know i have been harbouring a secret desire to dress up as one particular character for years, and it's all down to you. YES! you.
at least, i'm 99% sure it was you.
ages ago - maybe even eight years ago - you were posting about how you saw someone at hallowe'en dressed as jackie kennedy post jfk assassination, with bits of bloody macaroni on her suit etc etc.
man. i so want to do that (we're not precious about jfk over here so i'm not too fussed about insulting anyone. plus none of our friends would be likely to be insulted by anything) but i am finding it hard to find proper jackie stylee suits and pill-box hats. it's very difficult.
you know, i have never dressed up for hallowe'en? not even when i was a lil girl. we were never allowed. living in a supposedly dangerous foreign country and all that. i'm 23 and i am determined that this year will be the first!
we're going to have a "days which shook the world" party where you can come as a character which means something to you (so basically you can come as anyone as long as you can explain how they shook your world). my flatmate was g.. hmm i am so not telling everyone what he was going to come as you will be 100% disgusted but anyway, yeah. jackie's the way forward. if i can find the gear..

My daughter's going to be a mummy. I got a whole roll of muslin from a dodgy source, and after rejecting the idea of just wrapping her up due to toilet and apple bobbing complications, I now have to sew some kind of badage-jumpsuit. Bollocks.

haha, nivvie. i feel for you. damn those toiletary complications!

that hat would work. actually, the macaroni was from the movie House of Yes, (I think), but my other roommate dressed as Jackie a couple of years ago.
you just need to buy a vintage chanel suit...which are...cheap and easy to find. not. :p

Suit you sir. You just need to grow a bit of hair on the sides.
edit:
I think I'm gonna go as Bill Oddie in his Goodie days. I already have the hairdo, now all I need is a beard, flared trousers, a union jack waistcoat and learn to dance the funky gibbon. ooh ooh ooh!
Bob should go as Bob from Twin Peaks. You could learn all his lines and say "Bob" when someone asks who you are.
You need your long hair back though.

I'm gonna tie a string around each wrist and let about a foot of it dangle and do the same thing around my ankles and go as a Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade balloon float.
