As much as there are songs in the canon that are truly iconic, such as Car Thief and Shadrach, I'd rather watch an enthusiastic rendition of Ch-Check it Out than see them bluff and stiff their way through a song they don't really want to do. It would only benefit the fans, most of whom would wonder what all the fuss was about once it was over.
Hello Brooklyn, Egg Man and Slow and Low should become staples though. And having No Sleep back is good enough for me.

when I said those songs to Yauch, it was more of a joke than a serious request, as they would never do those. But Slow and Low, hello Brooklyn, No Sleep were major treats and sounded so ill.

i agree, they should work TT5B like Cuba Gooding worked the ocean floor. The album is only gonna develop it's full potential in like twenty years, plus: they tweak vocals and do late hip hop sampling at shows, underlying other beats. Seriously: few can grasp what the boys are doing for hip hop as we speak

I've seen them do these songs live in the past...so ya never know....they might be interested in doing them sometime again.

I get that you were joking, I probably would have said the same thing. I've just come to terms with being happy with what I have, and not wanting something I can't have.

It's awesome that they play it, it's a good song and it freshens up the lists a bit.
Between that and High Plains Drifter, PB is well represented. I wouldn't mind them doing Hold it Now, Hit it again. What are the chances they make it back to Perth someday?

I feel like I missed something.
Where is this coming from and what/when did Paul B ask Yauch to do? I agree with the overall premise KP, but where did this thread come from?

That's the name of my album.
I wasn't having a dig at paul, just venturing an opinion.

I know. I just wasn't sure why you were voicing that opinion, but I saw the post of his convo with Yauch in the other thread just now.
Let's make it a duet and call it Mysterious Assholes.

Hey, you bastard! I'm not that old.
My frame of reference is fucked up, the only example of people being separated I have at birth is child-birth. Were we conjoined by the head, in any case?

I just did an instrumental. 'The Sound of Nothing'.
