View Full Version : Jay-Z's New Song....that isn't the single

...but should have been.

Radio rip of Kingdom Come (http://www.zshare.net/audio/new-jay-z-radiorip-mp3.html). It's sick. Forget Show Me What You Got. He probably slid this to Flex after the lukewarm reaction that song got. Flex made a mess of it, but it's not enough to do it any harm.

It features that crazy ass Just Blaze beat that he had on his Myspace page from like 6 months ago; the one he nonchalantly tried to pass off as some shit he did in like 5 minutes while he was bored. Either way, it's about time.

I remember this beat (was even a thread bout it) this is gritty/old school indeed...although the single is in heavy rotation here in the west so dont know how lukewarm it is.

Making of... (http://xxlmag.com/online/?p=5349)

Just Blaze: "I literally made that beat in 30 seconds. I thought nothing of it."

Whatever man.

You know your one of the best when every argument against you fails to give equal weight to the obvious postives. I see it on here, real life with religous fantatics. Its nothing more then hating (as they are on XXL site)...it would be a great test to let these hatas hear a song by their fav. rapper written by and performed exactly like Jay (let alone Pac) and then see what they say...damn some people are annoying...this CD going go gold first week and be one of the best next to Nas and the Clipse

wouldn't surprise me to see it go platinum first week out. what's the last album to even do that? Usher's Confessions is the most recent one I remember.

50's Massacre album went +plat in the first week.

I'm predicting something closer to 600,000 for Jay.

I completely agree. This is the best I have EVER seen this fact worded. Every time I try to play Jay off as overrated, a million reasons why he's the best keep popping up.

This is going to sound nerdy as fuck, but the little bridge part of the beat (after lines like "I run the streets the streets don't run me", where the key changes or just counts in new bars like der da), that shit is cool. I can't say why, it just sounds right, especially under the raps.

I've listened to it maybe 50 times. I can't believe this is related to 'U Can't Touch This'. Blaze is a freak.

Yep. Thanks Mike the background info made me wish I was in the studio when Jay blessed that track.

I've been meaning to link this (http://xxlmag.com/online/?p=5415).

XXL cover (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v441/mickill/dec-xxl-cover.jpg)

An example of how Just's (http://www.sendspace.com/file/n5hukq) beat could sound underwhelming in less capable hands.
