Hi I did a student short film and I was wondering what I need to do to use part of the song "I Don't Know" from the "Hello Nasty" album.
Thanks

you would have gotten away with it. Now that you've asked, they wont let you do it.

it's not as if your student film is gonna be successful. just use it.

i think its fine to use as long as no one is making money. you're not selling it, its not being played between advertisements, you're not charging admission. no one will know

just make the film with the music you want... its a student film... even if it plays at local/university screenings, nobody is calling any lawyers...
who does know?
