You care about this board far too much.

Every second post of yours is about people "caring too much", Big Pad Wolf. Please elaborate, as I don't fully understand what you mean.

i've always set myself to invisible. i don't like people knowing what i'm doing... also there's that stalking tool on the front page, telling you what everyone's up to on the board. that's creepy.:(
I just set it that way once and haven't bothered with it since. Who really cares whether I'm on or not?

If we are members of this board, constituting 'The Board', then doesn't caring about our actions imply caring about the board? And by none of us posting 'All you lot on "VISIBLE"' threads, don't we all by default care less than Padster about the board?

^^^haha Joke's on me. I cared enough to post that, I lose.
Ugh, "who could care less" internet arguments. I mean really, if you don't care what anyone replies to something you say, what anyone says about anything - why read it or post at all?
Obviously everyone cares to some degree, or crap like this wouldn't exist.

post more pics of yourself :)

HAHA! i was thinking that. ;)
i don't really get the point of it unless you're a "reader-never posting" member. if you post regularly - no point having it on. we all know everyone comes here more than once a day, we all know if we find a thread we like, we'll post alot in it which kinda gives away the fact we're not actually afk

It only annoys me when it says 400 members currently online, and the only ones I can see are vikista and dancin2beasties.
I just want to know.

Agreed.
I wish that stupid "online" thing on Myspace would go away.

i put myself on invisible for a good reason, but i can't remember it, and i'm too lazy to go change it. except i show up for myself, and i always wonder if i show up for everyone else, and that pisses me off.

I show up for myself too, with a little * beside my name. For a brief moment it confuses me and I'm like, "When did I *Jane up my username?

I always say when I'm online. I don't know why. But it doesn't matter to me.

That's what I mean. "Stalking tool"? I mean why do these people on invisible somehow think they're important enough for people to follow them around on the internet?
I personally don't notice who is and isn't online unless they're posting a lot, which makes the invisible thing redundant anyway.

I dont really give a shit really but it seems a bit pointless if you're gonna post.
If you always just read the board, I'd maybe see the point.

exactly. i read alot of forums and can't be fucked posting most of the time. so i stay invisible because i don't make an impact to the 'soul' of the forum.

I'm sure it helps people do that "internet persona" thing where you have a massive e-penis (if a boy) or a pair of hot e-boobs (if a girl).

Of course, a hot "e-ass" and a tight "e-mimsy".

"Mimsy" is my new favouritest word.
Big Gus

I ripped that off from a recent Jimmy page interview I read when he discussed the whole "putting a fish in the groupies er... nether regions".
Thats what he said "it wasnt a shark it was a red snapper - one of our sound guys put it right in her mimsy".
Gold....

I started to use it recently. People seem to dig it.
Something else I gotta thank Jimmy page for...
