Coffee really has become quite gay these days.

I blame America...

I'm for anything that makes coffee taste less like coffee.
Like coffee cake. And coffee Revels.

Big Gus

I'm not to sure about that - coffee revels make me want to cut my own genitalia off, perhaps in a tragic farming accident where I wake up in a pool of my own blood, my cock and balls hanging from a tree 350 yards away...

..well, maybe thats being overdramatic.

Why cant people just have a fucking normal cup of coffee these days??

It's been like that for quite a few years now. Just watch some standup from like '98 and they'll be all "so what's the deal with ordering coffee nowadays? I don't know about this tall, short, grande, skim, latte stuff. I just want my coffee!"

Big Gus

Did you make it yourself? Sounds a bit hippyish likes!

I dont mind coffee, just these shit shops selling fancy cups of pish for £3.

And what about if you go to one for a cup of tea?? It's all "breakfast blend" and "summer herbal infusion".

'the fuck? I just want normal tea!

I was thinking about this last night

I remembered all the tragic fluffy cappa fuck-all rip-off types of coffee shit that I've had at places and all I really wanted was- coffee-milk in big mug

and they can stick those massive biscuits up their arse too!

Dunkin donuts coffee is way too sweet for me...I never understood the dd craze when all the women over 40 I knew had to have the whole beans.

I'm slightly one of "those girls" at Starbucks. whatever I order is usually non fat / no foam...but thats all.

you dont have to put sugar in it... there's a small mom and pop coffee shop in the town where i grew up, the guy roasts blends in the back (i worked there in high school, he showed me how he did it)... jamaican, hawaiian, costa rican, japanese, french, oh my god. THAT is the best coffee around here

This is why I always drink my coffee/tea in greasy spoons when out on the town (y)

Greasy spoons fucking rule. Luckilly there's still plenty of them in my (backwards) city.

There's loads of StarCostaCoffeeWank in the place now too - worryingly - they are taking over old pubs.

These places are always packed when i walk by - like overpriced coffee battery farms or something.

I had a breakfast sandwich at Starbucks in Seattle and saw them again in NYC. They're not here yet.

I believe that Frasier was the first and best place where the coffee craze was criticized when Frasier's dad took it on in season 1. Kind of appropriate because the coffee craze started in Seattle.

You know I'm a coffee maniac, for the past 2 years I've been roasting beans in one of these i-Roast things (http://www.sweetmarias.com/prod.hearthwareiRoast2.shtml) and drinking fresh gourmet sludge (http://www.sweetmarias.com/prod.greencoffee.mvc.shtml) from around the world.

I am a coffee fanatic.

You know you have become a professional coffee drinker when your buddy asks you to go up and order coffee because he doesn't know how to.

In my mind there used to be only two types of coffee - black or white - until I went to the USA. I was initially flumoxed by the question "What kind of coffee do you want?" but I came back converted to flavoured coffees.

Cinammon coffee is amazing. Right now I've got three bottles of Irish Cream the missus bought me on special from Whittard's.
