would you buy and / or commute with this:

$2049 for a 2007 in camo.
49cc with a top speed of around 38 mph
1.3 gallon tank averaging approximately 94 mpg.
100% street legal in most states.

i think they're pretty cool, but i'm not sure about actually purchasing one. i talked to a guy at the local motorcycle shop and he's gonna get one in. i'm kinda curious to just sit on it and take it for a little boot 'round the lot. see what it's all about.

the top speed being so low is kind of a turnoff (cant travel too far, no highways) but its not a bad looking machine. i like it

it's good for places like manhattan

there's a BR (big ruckus) that's a 250cc, i think it's top speed is around 80 mph.

its around $4500-5200 tho. i'd like the 250cc engine of the big ruckus squeezed in the lil ruckus package.

what about this (http://lucky7motosports.com/motorcycles/index.html)? people on real motocycles would get a kick out of it, but at least it goes 65mph

I've wanted a Vespa for some time now but they just aren't pheasable in Chicago.

Yeah -- the top speed isn't quite enough.

There are some interesting scooters out there these days. I wish I knew more about them. Some of the TnG models, man -- if they're reliable, they're so much cheaper and some are even better looking than the regular name brand stuff.

the gas mileage is great, id get one for that

but if its just about price, id want a used motorcycle, like this (http://newyork.craigslist.org/brk/mcy/219372344.html). at least i could go on the highway with it and get out of the city on it.

exactly one of my considerations. i like them older yamaha xs and honda CB 400 type bikes. i don't have my MC license, but i can't imagine it'd be all that hard / expensive to get.

at the end of the day the ruckus seems like an expensive toy, that you can ride on the road. dude at the MC shops gonna call me when they get one in. its free to go check out regardless.

weird! as i was typing out the above -- THEY CALLED!1 THEY'RE WATCHING AND LISTEENING TO ME!11

if only my baby (http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/products/modelspecs/30/0/specs.aspx) was roadworthy over here:(

I would just opt for a solid used mid sized motorcycle instead for about half the price.
