Yeah, seeing them in vegas beats out the bradley center! I've seen them in Chicago, Madison and Milwaukee but Vegas will ROCK! Living in LA now, so we are just driving up. I got balcony seats, since I'm feeling old and its an all age show, hope the seats arent too obstructed of a view. Regardless cant wait!!!!!!!!!

ya, im flying from Vancouver to check this out. i couldnt get enough after NYC...im hoping since the show starts at 8pm, and there is no opening band yet, they perform a real, full set. Comon, at least 17 songs like the JMJ benefit.

Full set would be great. I'll be 29 on Wednesday, so I'm feeling a bit old, but once you've been up front and center, it's never going to be the same. So, I'll be up front with the kiddies w/o a wife with me to look after this time.

Any word on when the door's open?

yea, can't wait for this royal treat! flying in from Denver.

The Joint is a great small venue. The sound in there is incredible. Can't remember a balcony being there either...hmmmm. it may have been VIP only last time I was there.

Hard Rock Hotel has online deals for $99 a night... If you can afford it, it's worth it.. nice plush rooms with in and out access to and from the venue...

Lol, at the August '04 Miami club show, I got there at 6:00 PM and doors opened at 9:00. There wasn't a soul in line til about 7:00 and even then it was like 6 of us. I'm assuming the Vegas snob crowd will be late arriving as well. Either way, I'll weasel my way up front. I probably won't make it up there until 5ish. Good thing my good friend PaulB said he'd hold me a spot in line.

I gotta work that morning until at least 4.. so a front o the line hookup would be nice depending on the crowd behind.

So glad I got in before they started selling tickets for the bar and balcony, up front and center for me.

nicolah, i recommend getting there early to see if you can get on the front of the balcony. Otherwise you will have a helluva time seeing the band. The upstairs kinda sucks unless you are up in the front of it

great seeing the Beasties in Vegas.... though, I felt their performance was short and lackluster. Also, didn't seem like the crowd was too into it.....After seeing them for 15 years (most recently at Red Rocks in '04), this show did not compare. Seemed like their sound was low and sometimes muffled. I've seen and heard way better shows inside the Joint and from the Beasties... still had a blast raging in Vegas.......

I love reading these threads and seeing how everyone perceives the same thing in different ways.

I thought the crowd was high energy (but thankfully without frat boy violence). But then I was up front, with a bunch of highly motivated fans. :p

I clocked the show at 1 hour 20 minutes. The recent shows were shorter than on a regular tour but then we got to see them in a smaller venue. I love smaller venues because even if I get stuck in the back of the hall, I'm closer than I would be if I saw Beasties in an arena. And given the insane prices other groups are charging, a Beasties' ticket is a bargain.

unfortunately a few feet behind you I had an altercation with a coked out frat boy and had to choke him out after he elbowed my throat. then when he popped me in the lip with his elbow again I threw him down and asked him to just stay there a while.

he was escorted out shortly thereafter.

That's the thing about live music - you never know what you're going to get.

I had bad concert karma all last weekend. Drunks, talkers, and guys who removed their shirts when then shouldn't.
