that's what I spent a few minutes deciding in the cheapo shop today.

I went with the pepper dust, then sprinkled it all around the areas that visiting cats had been shitting on...and not even burying like they are supposed to the fucking cunts!

so I'm hoping the pepper dust will stop the fucks. I was going to go to a garden shop or even the zoo cos I was tempted to get some Lion dung.I hear that's a good cat detterant

i was just about to say the same. but with different words. it should work. plus you get the satisfaction of pissing outdoors. and if its cold you get to see the piss steam...which is a bonus...until the smell hits you.

I think i read somewhere that cats hate the smell of orange peel and you're supposed to put bits of that in your garden.

But you know, the best way to stop a cat from doing it's business in your garden is to be nice to it. Once your garden is their territory they won't shit in it.

Maybe.

Sounds like an urban fox or shit... I am drunk though...

My Mum uses filled 2 litre bottles - just filled with water - they dont walk over them for some reason - she was a "border" of them right around the garden.

Shit works too, she has a "semi pro" veggie plot and is very protective of it but too kind to animals to pee them off in any way.

She has them kinda half dug into the ground into the borders, layed on their side - like a little barrier of them.

They look kinda shit in her nice garden but one of the few things thats worked for her - shes had them years.

the cats in my apartment keep pissing and shitting in the kitchen; what are some good ways to get them to stop? they aren't my cats, i just moved in a month ago, apparently this is a new problem (they're housebroken, at least they used to be). any deterrents that wouldn't be worse than the smell of cat piss?

it's not that i particularly mind (towards the end of his life, my dog suffered from incontinence, and that stuff was nasty), but the roommate who owns the cats seems to be gettng frustrated and i'd love to help

Animal lovers will wince but rubbing their noses in it - it works - it's not nice on the animal I guess but it teaches them. My brother used to train gundogs - he gave me all sorts of weird tips that work with both dogs and cats.
