Well...we've gotten the token hip-hop albums, "Nation of Millions" and "3 feet high and risin'" plus Eminem.
the rest is similarly on auto-pilot.

theres a small group of records, rom which they always choose the number 1 from. it won't be the arctic monkeys.

that is an awful list. according to that list, Jagged Little Pill is better than anything Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, The Who, the Velvet Underground, Neil Young, Sly and the Family Stone, David Bowie and James Brown ever did.

That list is pretty fucked up, some of those top 10 albums arent even the best by those bands. At least 4 of those bands have made better stuff, some in the list, some not.

a great album doesnt have to have the greatest individual songs on it

they only make these programmes because there's a sinister deal going on with the record labels that those albums are on,so people.....dumb people....go out and buy the crap.

joshua tree?!?!
I could defend that one, but not in the top ten. There are many worse entries on that list.
The list would be a lot worse if it was a US list.
P.S. I will never understand the Brits' Oasis obsession.

It's true. It's also true every time there's a Live Aid concert or something like that. It puts a lot of the artists' old catalogs back on the charts.

yeah i know it's been onlots before, but i like to see the interviews, and i'd forgotten who won. i have any albums worth having in that list anyway. prime suspect is laaaaaame.

prime suspect is laaaaaame.
pft. name any other british feature length drama of similar quality.
did you bloody watch it? well then, you can't comment, can yeh?!
i've written about three essays on prime suspect and jane tennyson and women in crime and i've grown up with the programme. plus, it's an excellent whodunnit and i even managed to convert my non-believer flatmates.
i strongly dislike people who tag things as 'lame' when they probably don't have any experience of it.
it was my first time watching itv in about 3 years, a channel which can be correctly identified as 'lame', but this particular show: not at all.
yes, it is totally appropriate to get defensive about a tv show.

prime suspect is a feature length frost with a woman.
infact, helen mirren might actually be david jason in disguise.

The Bill is fucking awesome. real good tv. writing and putting together a mostly selfcontained episode like that requires some skill.

The Bill used to be an excellent programme till about 5 years ago when they got rid of 90% of the cast and started turning it into a twisted police-themed version of Hollyoaks.
Detective Beech = best television character ever.

To comment on the Brits Oasis "obsession" - along with a few other bands they did totally change the face of British music.
2 great albums, and they are good live anythime I've seen them.
I watched about an hour of this thinking "i've seen this before?" before the realisation sunk in - I've seen it before...
