hahahhaa

Yeah some hippie-lookin' dude was handing literature outside of the Metro (in the heart of corporate yuppietown, btw) when Brett was here and he's like "Here's some literature on LaRouche," and I was like, whatever. He's probably into co-ops and laws to ban shoes, but I'll read what he has to say. Then Brett asks me what I picked up and I showed him and he was just like "Ew, go throw that away. LaRouche sucks." And it seems like I agree.

hmm, maybe THAT's what happened to me about 2 weeks ago. i was walking back from class and this hippie kid stops me and he's like "hey, do you think bush should be impeached?" and he hands me some literature, and i see a few people signing a peice of paper, so i'm thinking it's a petition or something. yeah, sure, i'd like to see bush impeached, so i say "yeah, sure"

then he just starts going off on tangents. like he says "hey, have you ever read plato's republic?"

"uh, yeah"

"you know what i find the most interesting thing about it is...is that it starts off as a conversation about the definition of justice...and that they talk for three hours about it and end up talking about an ideal system of government...all starting from a conversation about justice, man. you know what martin luther king said, right? he said "an injustice anywhere is an obstacle to justice everywhere"

".....ok?"

"where are you from man?

"uh, connecticut"

"oh, you looked european...are you from like near france?"

"connecticut"

"you know who rules the world, man, is stan. you know what i mean, kazakhstan, uzbekistan, afghanistan"

".....ok?"

"so do they have mandatory military service in your country?"

"......i gotta go"

"wait! i'm gonna say something that's really gonna make you mad, ok?"

i stop....eh, fine, this i have to hear

"....there's no entropy in the universe. what do you think about that?"

"............"

so i start walking away and he goes "how can you just walk away from something like that?! WHY ARE YOU THINKING LIKE A SLAVE, MAN?!"

so now i have lyndon larouche to blame, that's cool

FYI to political activists, i'd have signed the goddamn petition if he'd just have shut the fuck up. i didn't even read the literature, i just tossed it on principle. anything handed to me by a guy like that can not possibly be worth reading.

anyway stuff like that's why i became an apatheticist

There's nutty people on both sides. And they both think they're perfectly sane and it's the other ones who are batshit, though in reality I'm pretty sure they're even in the insanity department.
