This is my first remix from An Open Letter to NYC from the bboys
the end is a bit on the long side, so maybe i could put some more scratches for variation in it.
Hope ya like it!
Much respect for all the mixers on this forum, i've heard some dope mixes here!

Ok Bass.... I have to ask
these "out of tune" mixes.
What exactly are you saying??? Because usually "out of tune" is not a good thing, but then you say "very nice!"
Just Curious

Thanks(y) ,
Bassdriver's Body Movin remix is Funky.
but what Silence7 says, what do you mean:D
i know the quality off my mix isn't very high,
i use fruityloops for the instrumental
some samples were not to great and i've
mixed the track off with adobe audition
wich i also used for some delayed acapella effex.
(I've never been to NY or USA tho, but i like to!)

usually "out of tune" is not a good thing...
bands out of tune: not nice. singers out of tune: ouch!!!! hip hop tracks out of tune: mmmmhhhhhh!
the point is, as long as you just have rhymes and beats you can use the most far out of tune samples (out of tune in terms of musical scale) and there won't be any harmonic problems. as soon as you want to play "real" instruments to the loops or use vocal samples in the track you will have to keep the tuning.
my favorite out of tune track: jeru the damaja "d.original" (from:the sun rises in the east). you can torment piano teachers with this piano loop.
hey Oigres no complaining about your mix from my side!!!

Bedankt, Tricky!
Aha Bassdriver i know what u mean
for the melody i use pieces of samples and
some ive slowed down (or lower pitch) or
make them faster (higher pitch) , for variation
so it sounds out of tune yeah!:D
whats does repetitive mean Cosmo? my english is average:o
Thanks y'all (y)

Repetative, Beats looping too many times without changing, same samples being used over and over, that kind of thing..

'Repetitive' betekent dat dezelfde loops en samples te vaak herhaald worden. Misschien kun je er iets meer variatie in stoppen door bijvoorbeeld een ander muziekstuk bij het refrein te plaatsen...
Veel sicces en niet te snel opgeven
