There's a Hartford Courant article, written by William Weir, in today's newspaper that's all about an "official" US department that deals specifically with conspiracy theories and misinformation.
Not judging whether it's efficacious or truthful, but....wow....talk about Big Brother-ish, eh?

As I stated above, I wasn't judging if it was honest or truthful, just that it's interesting and big-brotherish (or haven't you read 1984?)
