to tell you what a fucking amazing album PJ Harvey's Rid of Me is. it has been my favourite album for a while, and will probably remain so for a great deal longer.
she has a way of expressing every emotion i feel in such a real, raw and uncompromising way. her lyrics are like a teenage girl with a crush and an old jaded person at the same time. she's hard as fuck and murderous with rage at some parts, but light and fragile at other times. and she seems to do it so effortlessly. i don't think any album could ever describe the way i feel and comfort me as well as this one. seriously. man.
