Jessica Hopper, a former publicist for Kill Rockstars Records, reported in the Chicago Reader this week that Le Tigre has broken up and called it quits. It's the first we've seen of this news! JD recently interviewed on Chicago's Think Pink radio show however, and made a statement saying that Le Tigre was just on a hiatus break, not a perminant one.

JD is playing with peaches and herms i think. They are gonna be at Big Day out this year.

usually when a break is needed its a sign of them on their way to call it quits. i think. well not really. but whatever. i'm just glad i got to see them live before they do/did break up.

correct. I was about a foot from JD when I saw Peaches this year. Good times.

I love Le Tigre. I actually haven't listened to the latest album though, aside from a few songs. Gotta get around to that. I've seen them live too, fun show.

It seems to me that Kathleen needs to keep movin and frontin....oh well...can't wait to see what she does next...maybe more Bikini Kill or maybe a Ad-Rock project...Le Tigre meets BS 2000....dreamy! (of course the B Boys record will drop before that's likely!!)

Well...i love them, i love their style and kathleen Hanna's voice... They are great....hope to not have the need to say "they WERE great"!!!! :(
