Good lord this day can't go by fast enough for me. I already overslept, and then discovered I'm all out of my sobe Adrenaline Rush drink. So I was late for work and had to settle for a Mountain Dew....I'm looking forward to 9 o'clock and the first smoke break of the day.....stay tuned for periodic updates.

Oversleeping, man, that's like my calling card lately. I've kinda given up on getting up on time anymore and I just go for damage control.

But that's changing - starting today! (y)

Me too. I actually showed up for work when I'm supposed to today though...so, good job.

My boss doesn't seem to actually care when I come in though, so it doesn't exactly encourage punctuality. Part time student staff just doesn't mean much to some people.

man i can relate i woke up this morning to the sound of my boss calling me asking me where the hell i was
and the day just went downhill from there
it improved by the end of the day though so it wasn't so bad after all .
i work saturdays though so friday dont mean much to me.

Yeah I'm usually not that concerned with being right on time...cus I usually work late and such. But I'm the new guy in my shop right now and don't want everyone to think I'm a slacker. It sucks though cus I"m new and haven't been trained I'm pretty much just sitting here and it's booooring. Still waiting on that first smoke break though. Plus I can't wait for tonight...

...Friday, yep. (y)

This was kind of a long week. Hopefully the weekend is all good.

Today: I take a half day and go see The Prestige with a friend I haven't hung out with in a while

Tomorrow: Half a work day at the church I started attending a few weeks back

...I'm also about 10 weeks into my 12-week workout plan and need to figure out what plan is next; I want to finish a painting I've been working on for a few weeks; might try to catch some sun before the fall sets in; need to go through absentee ballot thoroughly.

I'm reluctant to say what denomination, just because I hate the whole denominational thing.

You know that bit with Jesus praying in the garden until he sweated blood, right before Judas brought the soldiers to arrest him? He was praying that believers would all be united, so that people could see that God was real. The LAST thing he really prayed hard over and sweated blood over and we go and correct him. Yeesh.

Now, the long version:

Anyway. It's a Christian church. I don't think I'll become a member there, because I think they affirm homosexual lifestyle, but I can't tell -- I need to ask about it this weekend. See:

They asked me to become a member a few weeks ago and I said I wasn't sure, but why don't they give me all their info, statemkent of faith, etc. So they gave me the paperworkwork this last Sunday and I read over things on Monday. And the homosexual thing is so awkwardly worded that I can't tell if they're saying they welcome gay people who want to follow Jesus (and, presumably, repent), or if they're saying they welcome and affirm gay people in that lifestyle.

Welcoming anyone in a wrongful lifestyle -- unrepentant alcoholism, gossiping, violence, homosexuality, lying, adultery, unfairness toward workers, whatever -- that's one thing; God can help us out of those ways of living. But saying that it's cool to just go on with that stuff and not change -- that's not what scripture says, so I couldn't give it my support, and I'd have to start looking elsewhere.

Interesting, I think I need to find a non-denominational church myself. Personally I don’t consider being gay a sin so that’s not really an issue for me.

...you're in... Louisiana? What area?

If you're in Baton Rouge or something, you'd probably have a pretty decent field to choose from.
