Either way new Ghostface! And apparently Jay asked for it to drop...could just be Jay trying to attack Rap at all angles (himself, Nas, Jeezy and then expected LPs from Kanye and Ghost)

4th quarter is definitely dominated by the hippity hop. Only one I really give two shits about is Jay's.

Here's a link to a track from "More Fish" called "God 2 God", featuring Ghostface's 17 year old son "Sun God". At first listen it wasn't very impressive, lyrically (his son don't sound too skilled, and Ghost's verse ain't nuthin special), despite a somewhat promising beat. I don't know, see what y'all thik...

I like it, Sun flow is good, mellow but godd espically his parts in the 3rd verse(lots of multi sylables in his parts). Ghost is typical fire I'd say, I like the part where he states:

And my PO, she half Creole/
I move from Philly to Dallas, with true talent like my name was TO/

damn son:eek: best part of that whole song....although he did pretty good, I mean it's not like Supreme Clintele as it is a Pretty Tony type of song I say (great, but not memorable). It's only memorable for how gangsta it is:

Ghost:

Hey yo what up SG?

SunGod:

Hey yo whats poppin my nigga?

hahahaaha had me laughing espcially since they both talkin mad gangsta shit together on the 3rd verse...thats the illest part of the whole song that they dont play up the fact that they are father and son.

Good song, I look foward to this LP, and seeing as its not as hype Im sure the net boards are goin put this above Fishscale if its anything as good as it (even if its not as good, if its as good as Pretty Toney Im sure they will).

when going to listen to that ghost song, there was a raekwon song on the page also avaliable for listening. i found it had a real dope beat. good overall song. wu always gives that little bit of promise that there coming back strong. but it always seems to turn into more waiting...

I think Dre is taking the Terrance Malick approach to Detox.

"If I take fucking forever to make it, people will assume it's classic."

i have little to no interest in "Detox". His beats lately are boring, he doesnt write his own raps and he cant rlow.

Unless he comes back with some "Still DRE/Forgot about Dre" type stuff...then ill be all ears.

The only song I have heard off of the album is the Back Like That remix which I picked up probably almost a year ago on 12".

It wasn't really anything special but I'm sure the album as a whole will be better than most other albums released this year.

I'm not saying I think it's a bad album, I just think it sounds like Fishscale leftovers. Which, I guess, it generally consists of, for the most part.

I did like it better on the second listen, though.

And remember what you naysayers were saying when Detox not only drops in '07, but is another classic. Why do you think Dre's been feeding everybody his scraps, huh? BECAUSE HE'S SAVING THE GOOD SHIT IS WHY BASTARDS.

good point. I suspect it's ghost that wants out of his contract, cause i don't see why def jam would want to drop him after the acclaim of Fishscale.

they are the stand-outs, but i think its pretty damn good over-all.

Although...SHAWN WIGS FEAT. EAMON should never appear on any tracklisting ever, let alone a fucking ghostface record.

More Fish really couldn't stand on its own as an actual new Ghost album. Too many collabs with his crew members. Not enough SKITS.

On the radio today they talked about how almost everyone on the Def Jam roster is more than mad at Jay-Z right now because they think he isn't properly promoting their material and is too focused on his own album to act as CEO. The only person supporting Jay was,who else, Nas.

"Good music promotes itself" was what Nas said, he even said that LL Cool J was mad at Jay right now for lack of promotion.

So maybe more people might jump ship from Def Jam soon........

I'd be kind of pissed if I was on a hip-hop label and my boss was not only the biggest personality in hip-hop but he also decides to drop an album around the same time as me.
